Very informartive video, I was wondering how long it took you to writr book one vs book 2? Lots of authors talk about spending years on their books which then makes me worry im rushing through mine too quickly 😅
I'd actually already written a huge chunk of it by the time I got the book deal for book one, so I ended up having to take a break midway through writing it so that I could focus on book one's release. I'd say in total it took me about a year to write the first draft. When you're on deadline, especially in the commercial fiction world, you can't really spend years on your books, so if you're managing to write quickly that's a good thing! It may be, if you're writing super fast, that it just needs a touch more editing later on, but everyone has their own process.
