  • Every part of a synapse is a potential target for drugs. (You have likely heard of many of them 😉).
This video is a gateway topic between cellular & molecular neurobiology and systems neuroscience---every part of a chemical synapse is a known target of (recreational and otherwise) drugs, yet their effects are also determined by which neural systems are involved. Here we take a tour of several recreational drugs and their molecular targets within the chemical synapse.
Bonus topics: the science of free-basing, and how to build a robo-rat.

At 33:22 of my video, I list a table with lots of compounds and their main effects: th-cam.com/video/Me4hxip7tU0/w-d-xo.html

The question is: if the rats were exposed to infa red or incoherent light such as sunlight...would they still die?
did you keep them in these boxes that bored them to death or were they able to go out in the sun and have some fun after they
    juiced themselves up

Nice picture of a part of an imaginary brain on imaginary fire...
what happens to the rest of the mind aka the parts that are every where else like in the finger tips and in the spine and in the butt since
    you mentioned it?
you seem to be walking a thin line between the old and the very old ideas of how the body works and you seem a bit reluctant to go full
Khemetic on yourself and decide that all the molecular talk is not helpful in a whorld of futile resistors generating interesting ideas with
magnetically attractive piezo producing notions vibrating to a sun tuned to 432 the A note AKA the sound of you.

Lumping together 'recreational drugs' is dangerous. Not to mention that the academia is severely biased against it, meanwhile promoting considerably worrying measures to tackle for instance cocaine dependence with ketamine.
