The Lander Boys Annual Horse Pack Trip 2018

- We had the good fortune to meet some great guys from Lander that were making a pack trip to Fox Park. These fellas have been friends since school and make an annual summer pack trip together as well as Elk hunt together. I rode along with them a ways and took some video. Thanks for riding along.

Thanks for a great video with natural sounds clack of hooves on rocks, running streams horses snorting and an occasional comment. A DOUBLE thank you for not ruining the great viewing by adding some stupid unnecessary music track
Thank you. I agree, once in a while I'll add a section of appropriate music, like to a video of stills, but I prefer nature.
That's why I spend my time in nature.
Just goes to show, not everything goes 100% smooth on these rides. Nice to see they handled it with no panic. (By the way, this is MotherOfManyHorses. Since your last video we moved from NJ to Kentucky and I changed my channel name. The mountains are not as majestic as yours, but more than what NJ had. 😉 )

That must have been fun following that bunch...it was fun to watch and see the scenery and the different setups. How far did you follow them? Thanks for sharin!
They went just a bit above Gravel Lake that first day and I turned around about 45 minuets shy of the lake. So about 3 or 4 hours in. I never carry a time piece. I figure what difference does the time make anyway. Time is irrelevant in the mountains. If it gets dark my ole horse knows his way home. Glad you enjoyed the video. Those guys are a hoot. They had some more good stories when they got back to the trail head.
It's always a nice visit over some cold beers.

YEAH PACK TRIPS ARE FUN, I DID THAT IN GLACIER PARK, WHICH IS ABOUT AS SPECTACULAR AS YOU CAN GET - I WAS JUST IN HIGH SCHOOL AND PROBABLY DIDN'T APPRECIATE IT ENOUGH, WOULD LIKE TO GO BACK THERE SOME DAY - WE PACKED OUT OF MANY GLACIER LODGE.
QUITE SURPRISED - NO QUARTER HORSES THAT I COULD SEE - YOU KNOW WITH THE BIG ASS MUSCLES - MULES - GOOD ONES ARE GREAT - I PULLED A 9 HEAD STRING ONCE. ONE DOES NOT TROT WITH PACK ANIMALS - BUT, THOSE GUYS WERE TRYING IT. AND THOSE PACK BOXES WERE HUGE!!! YOU'D HAVE TO LOAD BOTH SIDES AT THE SAME TIME.

I'd love to go on a trip like that where is this place at and how much is it that would be my idea of heaven that's what I always wanted to do have a dude ranch and take people out on trail rides for long periods of time that's a business I wanted to be in but it never happened I Married an idiot that's idiots. Somebody stole my dream all my life
