I've heard it maybe twice through someone's video recording like this and I hum it every now and then. THat's how good this band is at creating melodies.

M B V, despite its strengths, was, for me, a step backwards.
mbv have never been a live band, they use a lot of production techniques to get certain sounds, so ofc judging them by their live performanes is a bonehead take. Besides, shields has never been one to put out shit just for the sake of it, the self titled about was a good evolution to their sound incorperating elements from other genres (particularly electronic/jungle music inspiration) and demonstrating more abstract song structures, it was never meant to have as significant evolution as loveless though and expecting that is just unrealistic.
