Even after a year i still come back to this song, forget about what i said. True success was already achieved when they wrote this song, the art speaks louder than sales and mainstream.
This is, in my opinion at least, the most mature metalcore song I've heard. Most songs in this genre about this subject matter are angry and resentful while this one sends more of an acceptance and reflection kind of feel. It's easy to be angry at a relationship that had a rough end and wish the ex the worst possible, but it takes a whole new level of strength to wish them a good life even when you know you're never going to see them again. This song is a masterpiece and these guys deserve to be way more successful than they are.
Just saw these guys in Worcester, incredible performance. The emotion in this song live is unmatched. One of the most underrated bands around right now
Just discovered em and they're diversity literally left me with by jaw on the floor. I thought they were just another pop punk until I went through the discography..
It sounds like an amalgamation of every post hardcore band that was poppin in like 2005. This album helped me to scratch an itch that I’ve had for a long time, they’ve reignited my love of music and I’ve been listening to a lot more music than podcasts and stuff like that. Capstan is the most refreshing thing I’ve heard in a really long time.
I've been listening to this song on repeat in the wake of a bittersweet breakup. I listened to it so much I was shook to discover how obscure it is! It's so beautifully crafted, so heartfelt and genuine that I would have thought it was more popular.
YemmyTheFerret was out there too in Charlotte. I let them know that I thought they were so good that I missed Mayday Parade for them, and they were stunned 😂 they had such a good set
These awesome lyrics are everything!!! So meaningful and well expressed. Modern music just doesn't sound as good as this song. But it should if it were a hit. I don't understand why this song doesn't have a million views by now. It's perfect in every way!
Just stumbled on this band a week ago and man they are good. Like there sound is so nostalgic while still being fresh. I get vibes of old school Silverstein, bayside, we came as romans, and matchbook romance 🔥🔥
Got to see these guys live on the Hawthorne heights and Silverstein tour and they were awesome!! I hope they get the recognition they deserve! Great songgg

I have to click on this song every time it pops up on my home page. This is easily one of my favourite songs from you guys! Keep making music and playing shows. I will some day come and see y'all if you come to Vancouver

mmm I know this song is about ending a relationship with the least hate or drama and such but it just reminds me of my Grandparent's last day together... So thank you for reminding me how fucking cute my Grandparents were together.
I really hope they can reach success. The chorus is just perfect...
We don't deserve this chorus. Its beautiful
Go check out Mother Freud they are better song writers and it's not just a bunch of randomness!!!

They’re amazing and I’m really excited to see them live. I’m wishing them the best luck on tour and looking forward to seeing them in Cali.
absolutely blows my mind when drummers can play stuff like this with traditional grip
I was looking for someone to comment about this, and agreed.
They’ve put a drum cam on Facebook today needs to go viral

Jesus Christ the early 2000’s are rushing back to me and the nostalgia is devastating. What a great band.
the emotion is so raw. this song deserves so much more recognition
One of the most underrated bands out there. They're too talented to not break through.
The key change still gets me
It’s one of the few songs out there where the modulation doesn’t feel cheesy and goofy
That chorus though! Gives me goosebumps. Fantastic song. Whole album is great
Their new album is not getting the love that it should be. It’s absolutely beautiful.
Thank you so much!

I can’t believe these guys aren’t bigger than they are. Blows a lot of main stream bands out of the water
Hear this for the first time the other night at the bar, super cool song!
Awesome music from awesome band ❤️

Good tune
Progressive pop punk alternative radio rock stuff? I dunno what this is, I'm a metal guy, but this is SIIIIIIIIICK! Got a new fan here.
Unreal band!! so many great song's, great guitar parts too, brilliant.

I hope wherever you are, you're far
Far along, and not too far gone
I hope wherever you are, your heart
Is still carrying that spark
You were the lightning strike
That helped me see
Through the starless night
So quick, brilliant and bright
You were the lightning strike
Distortion in my atmosphere
Shook me to my core
Before you suddenly disappeared
I hope wherever you are, you're far
Far along, and not too far gone
I hope wherever you are, your heart
Is still carrying that spark
Though it was brief when our paths aligned
There's a part of myself that you helped define
I'll always remember your radiant shine
A setting sun in the scarlet sky
The clouds gave way to a torrential rain and a temperature drop
Brought on a haze so thick, ran my blood so thin
It made my heart stop
I hope wherever you are, you're far
Far along, and not too far gone
I hope wherever you are, your heart
Is still carrying that spark
I always wonder what could have been
But all I can do is wish you the best in the end
I know in time our wounds will mend
We all love again
And I know that someday
Eventually
This infatuation fades
(And all our wounds will mend)
And I hope in some way
You found yourself
Through the doubt you overcame
We all love again...
I hope wherever you are, you're far
Far along, and not too far gone
I hope wherever you are, your heart
Is still carrying that spark
I always wonder what could have been
But all I can do is wish you the best in the end
I know in time our wounds will mend
We all love again...

Add Silverstein, who I believe these guys are extremely influenced by (can you hear it?), in and then it is perfection.
“I always wonder what could have been, but all I can do is wish you the best in the end.”
Yikes. Hitting a little bit close to home right there

“I know in time our wounds will mend. We all love again.” I certainly hope so.
The entire SONG be hittin close to home for this guy
This is the most mature song ever lol
In this genre it’s usually anger at the other person for leaving
Not related but you must be a man of culture in multiple ways, didn't expect to see a fellow Haru profile pic here.
