Someone gave me a PL518 about 2 years ago that looked a little beat. It's now in my system with a SoundSmith Otello cartridge and looks and plays great. Nice tt.
I just bought one of these from someone who didn’t know what they had. I paid $10. It powers on and the turntable spins, but I don’t have anything to plug it into to see if it is fully functional.
If you haven't already found some, I found an ebay seller of replacement feet. You need toe original springs, though, as there are 3 different compression strengths (color coded springs) depending on position. The seller included instructions for which springs go in which position. Very helpful.
Well, this one is a old style solid build middle class model from `78/`79. Its has no USB or Bluetooth or inbuild phonopre. But it has better arm bearings and a more silent motor and is semiautomatic. The arm is not picky about what cartridge you wanna use,but for example a AT-VM95ML or SH sounds very nice on this one.
No I don´t think it´s better . recently and after several years and being skeptical about modern sounding tables I moved from this one to an Audiotechnica Lp7 and what a Huge difference on sound , game changer! glad I made that decision.

This is my holy grail, one sexy bit of kit. With the SA-508 and the CS-707’s, playing something by The Who, Floyd or Weller. Cosmic.
i have had mine for 40 years and its still working perfectly

I bet you have replaced the feet, they don’t look original !!
A friend of mine just gifted one of these to me today-it was his dad’s way back in the day. Can’t wait to get it set up!
Did it come with the overhang gauge??
@@martyjewell5683 It didn't but I have one.

Beautiful turntable, this track was the A side and walk of life was the b side originally. Walk of life became an A side and was a massive hit.
simplesmente magnifico , lindo demais
Looks and sound great. I have the same turntable, but need new feet.
What did you use for replacement feet?

"the", not "toe"...autocorrect is really stupid sometimes!
What type of cartridge is that? What do you run the weight at? Nice Turntable!
Pioneer PP-302 headshell & ADC 220XE cartridge & stylus. Don't remember the weight setting. Sold in Oct/Nov sometime. Cheers!
Can anybody tell me where I can find needle only for same one....
49mm?
is this turntable better than an audiotechnica 120LPXUSB? Thanks
Couldn't tell you. Never owned an audio technica 120LPXUSB. In the end it all personal preference.
