It's totally normal for babies to be a momma's boy. Biologically they need the mom. When it's time he learns trough mimicking and role modeling they look at the dads more. My sons was a total momma's boy until two years old. And one they he was like: dad.... Dad! DAD!! And the next couple of years he was a total daddy's boy. (sorry, English is not my language)

Fellow dad here. Thanks for sharing this. My wife sent me this video because I’m going through the same thing with our second daughter. I share all these emotions. Frustration. Confusion. Even jealousy. I want my daughter to want me as much as I want her. I know this is just a phase and she will outgrow it but thank you for sharing that I’m not the only going through this valley.
Oh Justin, we feel you.. our son (he has no siblings yet) was like that the first 10-12 months, when he has to go to sleep my husband can only put him to sleep whem I'm not there.. like not in the house, if I'm there our son wiill scream like crazy, the first months my husband had such a bad time, he cried every few days cause he thought our kid didnt like him.. now they are like besties, its so cute ❤

So I have been a subscriber for a long time. I remember when Rachelle would say they were in a hard part in their marriage & how big sister Brynn helped them have a stronger marriage. Now seeing Justin get choked up about his family is amazing! God bless your family & Merry Christmas!
Rachelle, you are the BEST Mom. Always doing what you can to cheer up your babies because you know that whatever is wrong might not be a big deal to you but you know it is to them and you try to fix it.. like taking a few extra minutes to run and get Emma a treat to cheer her up because she was sad. You can tell she loved your Mommy date and although it was actually just errands that needed ran, you made it as special as you could. Justin is a great dad too because he also tries to do whatever he can for those he loves in the best way HE knows how whether it's big gesture or a small one like taking Emma out by himself for them to go look at the lights since the boys were already in bed so you could have some quiet time alone. You are both very attentive people and that's why you're so loved. You put your heart and soul into literally EVERYTHING.
My 2 boys are grown so it's so much fun to see all the little kids so excited for Christmas. Thank you for sharing them with all of us. Merry Christmas to all of you.

Justin your children love you as you do them sometimes with baby’s development they can just want mom and that leads you to feeling helpless and rejected they do grow out of this as you now see. Your amazing opening up and that’s the best thing to do talk. I may not know you personally but I will always listen and offer support. Your fabulous parents with gorgeous children Emma is a treasure and the boys are fun and can move when they want something. Don’t be hesitant in doing a video on them crawling to you or mom because yes they will go to mom as all boys do that’s normal. I totally feel ya. My son was like that for the longest time, and it was exhausting. He's 1 1/2 now and Daddy is actually becoming his favorite person. He prefers him over me a lot now. I promise..it will continue to get better. You are a wonderful Dad!
Continue to help! It’s ok if he cries. He will learn that you are a team. Say things like it’s dads turn to help you. If you don’t help him he will learn it’s his choice and it cannot always be his choice. You are a great dad! Keep up the great work!

My first daughter was very attached to me. My husband was away a lot in the Special Forces for training and she didn't want him at all. And then, around 9-10 months, she decided Daddy was awesome, and they are still very close (she is 3). Hang in there!

Justin you’re such a good dad! It can be so hard when you don’t know how to help your kid. Both my boys have been mamas boys in the beginning. BUT, once they hit like 1.5 when daddy is home I am chop liver! They love to wrestle with daddy and rough house and play. And even want daddy for bedtime. Daddy is a soft touch though. 1 more drink? 1 more snack? Lol Daddy comes through.
Don’t worry Justin. Most dads feel this way. My husband has with both our girls. You’re a wonderful daddy. I love how you love to help. Remember though he will feed off you as in he can feel your stress.

I'm so glad things are getting better! I completely understand, its so rough. When my first was a baby she had horrible reflux, she was never happy and I just couldn't seem too settle her... and like you, I was in the thought process of thinking I was doing something wrong and feeling awful about it all. Of course its nothing we do wrong, its just them developing at different rates and growing into their personalities, but geez its really rough isn't it. So happy its getting better for you :)

My husband has been going through this with our daughter. except it’s been for the past 4 years!! 😭 she used to be an absolute daddies girl! but she will not hug or kiss or anything with him and she’s 5. It’s exhausting for me because she’s obsessed with me to the point she will ask me to sing if i’m in another room so she knows where I am. Bless your heart Justin! It makes me sad when I see you get emotional on here. What you went through is perfectly normal. It happened with our son. He was good with Dad the first 2 months, but when he hit 3 months, it was like he didn't know my husband! He would cry when he tried to feed him, hold him, change his diaper, etc. Fortunately for us this phase only lasted 3 months, until our son was 6 months old. You & Rachelle are doing great. I know these last 7 months have been rough, but you both pulled through like champs. That's a sign of a good marriage, communication, & partnership. I'm a huge fan of y'alls, & I love watching your videos. The kids are just adorable & the sweetest! Have a Merry Christmas!! 😊💕🎄⛄🎅

Aawww! Justin, I was tearing up with you. I'm so happy Reuben is welcoming you more. I'm a Mom of 3 and my youngest boy actually was a severe daddy's boy. Yes, he was just like Reuben but for his daddy lol but they grow out of it. God is great and amazing and heared your prayers.

I'm so glad things are getting better! I completely understand, its so rough. When my first was a baby she had horrible reflux, she was never happy and I just couldn't seem too settle her... and like you, I was in the thought process of thinking I was doing something wrong and feeling awful about it all. Of course its nothing we do wrong, its just them developing at different rates and growing into their personalities, but geez its really rough isn't it. So happy its getting better for you :)

not hug or kiss or anything with him
and she’s 5. It’s exhausting for me because she’s obsessed with me to the point she will ask me to sing if i’m in another room so she knows where I am. I feel so guilty too cause I can’t make her want to go to him but yeah that’s hard. for both parents. I’m glad Reuben is warming up to you more 🥰🥰 bless you guys
Bless your heart Justin! It makes me sad when I see you get emotional on here. What you went through is perfectly normal. It happened with our son. He was good with Dad the first 2 months, but when he hit 3 months, it was like he didn't know my husband! He would cry when he tried to feed him, hold him, change his diaper, etc. Fortunately for us this phase only lasted 3 months, until our son was 6 months old. You & Rachelle are doing great. I know these last 7 months have been rough, but you both pulled through like champs. That's a sign of a good marriage, communication, & partnership.
