Chi and Qi are both "ch" but with the tongue in different spots. Chi has the tongue pulled back in retroflex. Qi is softer and has the tongue towards the teeth. Qiao sounds similar to the Italian "ciao"
I love the dark archons but it seems like the pro players always abandon them after one use... at least this time it was used twice. I guess it's basically only useful for mutas is the thought process.
@spidernonnon4813mutalisks cost 100/100, so if you freeze and storm a stack of 11, you kill 1100/1100 resources for the cost of the darkarchon+research+ storm energy, that's an insane trade and also removes the mutas entirely for a little bit. I think the pros just figure that the apm isn't worth it for other trades. Pros are on another level to everyone else and see the game in a completely different way. A pro could probably win against artosis using almost purely dark archons(like snow did with scouts), doesn't mean it would work against other pros.

You can see how Bisu excels in PvZ with his excellent micro. Seeing Protoss at this level you can see how enormous amount of value Protoss is not getting by efficient micro. There is such a high ceiling in retaining spellcasters and casting spells effectively. This is not a negative comment I am just in awe of how BW manages to give each race such a high skill ceiling in all areas of macro and micro. Even if macro wasn't improved the Protoss could have dominated the mid-game with better unit/spellcaster control.
It's interesting to me that protoss players players seem to take so long to add reavers to their army, despite how strong they are vs everything on the ground; goons also fall apart so quickly once Zealots are gone that it seems like adding less goons to get reavers and/or more templar seems like it'd be better; more than maybe 8-12 goons seems counterproductive, given how terrible they are vs Hydras and Lings without proper support. It feels like every PvZ on this channel lately has been the Protoss making a very goon heavy army, getting flanked at some point, and then never being able to stabilize again; reavers are exceptionally strong for defense and helping to stabilize, so teching into them a bit earlier could likely make a big difference. Late game reavers are so much stronger/more important in PvZ than in PvT/PvP, and yet Reavers are given the lowest priority in PvZ. I guess it's just because early reaver drops are much harder to make work vs Zerg because of Hydras, but they're so strong vs the Zerg army that it still just seems strange that players don't use them earlier in the game, especially as they expand to the 3rd/4th bases where the defensive power of Reavers is extremely valuable. Dark Archons could probably see more use, but I guess they're just expensive and difficult to control when you also need to use storm and everything else, and Storm actually kills Hydras outright, rather than just stunning them (though they can still deal damage in the mean-time, unlike with Maelstrom).
I think scourge is the issue with reavers vs zerg. You need the shuttle to make them mobile enough to attack with your army and its really easy to kill a shuttle with scourge. Reaver archon storm is unbeatable in a split map situation in zvp but reavers are too slow to attack and defend when toss is only on 3 base.
@@samualking636 That makes sense, though the scourge vs shuttles issue I think is overstated a bit; in PvZ, shuttling reavers is mainly just for mobility, rather than for micro like in PvT/PvP, since Zerg units lack the range/HP to dive or zone reavers as effectively. As long as you aren't going for reaver drops and are keeping the shuttles with the army, it's relatively easy to protect the shuttles from scourge as well. If Zerg attacks in with ground units to bait the anti-air and dive the shuttle with scourge, you're dropping the reavers out anyway, and if they aren't attacking in with ground units, the scourge can be easily taken out by goons/archons, and you can drop the reavers out anyway. Once you're on 4 bases, reavers are also a valuable part of defense vs ling/hydra backstabs. 2-3 reavers with a few cannons on a ramp can hold huge numbers of lings/hydras. They significantly reduce how much the Protoss needs to invest to hold an attack.
I play Zerg I love Zerg there my favorite race I love the difficulty of micro everything and the right timing of producing unitys and how support they can be in games 2v2 etc etc …I being dying to watch a good game Zerg vs protos this was one
Dark Archon has proven to be very viable. It's effective vs Hydras and Mutas and only requires one extra tech. You need to get one or two good maelstroms off of it, but if you do it paid for itself.

Think Dark Archon has been an MVP unit every time i see them, enough so that I am wondering why we only ever see one made per game. As if players think of it as some kind of anti muta cheese. I think it's good to hide it if you made it, to try and surprise them, but I think it's just a good unit and I could see wanting more than 1 in an army tbh. I also don't understand why we don't see more reavers mixed into armies vs Zerg. Counters lings, hydras & lurkers and can fight under dark swarm. Probably want a shuttle too to ferry them around but I don't think any fancy APM-intensive shuttle micro is needed, just a-move them and remember to queue scarabs once the battle begins. Every time I see Reavers they seem to be so cost efficient. ideally 6 reavers, with a bit of support, basically seems unassailable to zerg unless they get a good position on them.
I think you're on to something with the Red Archon... there are tons of times when a random Maelstrom could make the different, even in a battle without Templar. Does Feedback cost money to upgrade? Zapping a defiler from time to time sounds great, too....

Zerg beats Protoss beats Terran beats Zerg. Zerg only ever loses against Protoss (as opposed to Protoss actually winnning the game) the same way that Terran can only fumble the bag to lose against underdog Zerg. It has been written.
protoss was ahead after zealots denied zerg's 3rd base and the failed hydra bust. It was over 20 supply lead in the early mid game, and yet zerg was still able to come back? ZvP is imbalanced in favor of zerg so that even if zerg fails with cheese strategies, zerg can come back, but the reverse is never true.

Dark Archons + Maelstrom are definitely viable against Zerg because it works on every single unit & Feedback is just a bonus!

Toss can't get away doing no damage to the zerg econ mid and late game. Only winning the first encounters isn't enough to just steamroll
