Great video. I've never steelhead fished, but I thought these fish were really tricky to locate and then fool....similar to muskie or Atlantic Salmon....and yet, you seem to be hooking up with regularity....??

The difference is Great Lakes steelhead and true steelhead, they are definitely still steelhead but Great Lakes steelhead actually feed during runs, ocean steelhead don’t feed at all during runs thus harder to catch

If taxpayer money is used to stock the river . The public should have access to the whole river .

It’s the fishing licence that pays for it and donations not the tax payer and you do from a boat but the bed is usually private but no one owns the water

Fishing license sales is essentially a tax .

@@joshgordonsblunt1735no, they aren’t considered navigable streams and therefore can be posted in both states

They are still Steelhead as well!
If a human moves from the west cost eating veggies to the east coast eating meat they are still human. Diet and location may change but the genes don't ;).

if a European moves to the United States how many generations go by before they are considered an "American". yes they have the heritage but ultimately as generations go by they would have less and less in common with their ancestors. these trout may have steelhead genetics but they are not the same as their sea run ancestors. doesn't make them better or worse but they are not the same in my opinion.
