    What a great idea using your air fryer
    outdoors. Excellent ‼️

      Thanks! I noticed hot air blowing out of the back of the air fryer so it had to go outside 😜 ~ Anja

      @@OurGabledHome Your a wise lady. Even if the air conditioner is performing like it should it can still be to much heat while cooking.

    Greetings from Australia! Here in Queensland it's hot for 9 months of the year and I bake my bread outside on the BBQ on a Pizza stone, that works a treat! I'm German too and I don't want to miss my German style Rye bread just because it's hot. Thank you for sharing the idea of baking it in the air fryer!

    Love your videos. (My favorite was your apron tutorial! I’m in AZ , so my air fryer is also outside! I often use parchment paper “bowls”, available from Amazon. No mess and easy to lift out the cooked food.

    We bought an oversize toaster oven/air fryer combo that's large enough for two bread pans. We use it on our back porch.

    Appreciate your videos. Like a lot of Americans I'm a descendant of German immigrants - on both sides of the family. It's interesting that we feel a need to reconnect with Germany somehow and are proud of our heritage but my ancestors left in the face of a lot of oppression and the promise of a future in America. Not only that but obviously Germany would be the source of conflict in 2 world wars. Not a studied history buff but I think the original German tribes were not to be messed with, not even by the Romans who learned their lesson in the Black Forest and hence their willingness to use force. But your videos for me restore a vision of peaceful century old cobblestone paths, peacefulness and continuity of bloodlines.

    I make English muffins in the hot months using a pan. Works fine without using an airfryer. I also make a big batch when I do them in the very early morning and then I freeze them.

    We took the toaster oven out to porch to cook a casserole , a week or two ago. :). I have an air fryer but it has a funky taste even after using about 15-20 times . thanks for sharing.

    I have heard that some air fryers leach some toxic materials. I don't know the validity of this, but you may want to look into this. Other than that, this is a great idea. I feel blessed to Li e in Eastern NC swamp country and have a fancy Thermador oven with a built-in air fryer and also have AC.

    I absolutely love your videos! I have printed this recipe and plan to make this bread….my sourdough starter is young but seems very active. My one question….where did you get the linen dress you have on in this video? I ❤ it and would like one. Thank you for all you do!

    Would love to try an air fryer. I use my multicooker so much though. It’s a rice cooker, slow cooker and pressure cooker and I know such things are popular in the US too. We are a lucky generation! X

    Hello, is it safe to use day 3 young sourdough starter I see a lot of different answers with google and so on. I do have to say I used it today to make some flat bread and maybe 30 min or so after eating it felt so bloated and gas, and stomach ache hours later. Someone said can make dogs very ill but I have no dogs , just concerned about me and kids who ate the flat bread :/. I threw away the lefr over flat bread made with the young starter.Thank you in advance.

    • @OurGabledHome
      @OurGabledHome  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think 3 days is very young and would give it at least 5 days. We have successfully baked with a 5 day old starter but it may not be strong enough to leaven a loaf of bread ~ Anja

    I wonder if this would work in a different type air fryer. Mine is the kind with the front door that opens down. It has removable shelves. Has anyone tried something like this?

      It definitely should but you may have to adjust the size of the bread. Hope you're going to give it a try 👍 ~ Anja
