There is a great video demonstrating dispersion analysis on an automated machine called TIDAS (made by Labman Automation). This analyses a grind gauge and makes the dispersion easy to see as it produces an image displaying all the particle data. It produces a rating automatically and removes the operator variation you often find between users in labs.
I used to buy pearl pigment from a Chinese supplier called Yortay. They make great pigments too, like chameleon pearlescent pigments and 3D effect magnetic pigments. Maybe you would like them.
