Just returned from a month in Tokyo and ate Korean Seaweed Chips 5 TIMES A WEEK because of your recommendation. Most delicious potato chips I have ever eaten (with the exception of Calbee chips made fresh in Tokyo Station 😃. Egg Salad Roll 👍 Curry Bread...okay. But similar to Calbee, once you've had Zopf, difficult to appreciate anything else. Multiple Tuna Mayo Onigiri got me through standing in line at 6:00 a.m. at both Disneyland and Disney Sea! These are the only 7-11 items I tried so no comment on your other recommendations. But I will be back in February 2025, so we'll see. Thanks for such informative and entertaining videos.
When I visited back in November, of the items in this video, I tried: 1.) Karaage Boh - the soy sauce was really good, but the salted lemon and garlic & black pepper were my favorite. 2.) Mapo Tofu Rice Bowl - the spicy pork was really good. I got it a couple times. The rest all look delicious. Next year, when I visit again, I'll have to give the others a try.
The first time my family went to Tokyo on a group tour, we didnt exactly enjoy the food in the restaurants we went to. So at night we go to 7/11 to compensate our food cravings. From egg sandwich, rice bowls, onigiri tuna mayo, and all the delicious desserts. I also got tired of hotel breakfast buffet so i also go to 7/11 complete my day. Love it. ❤
The first meal I ever ate in Japan was the 7-11 curry bread and tuna mayo onigiri. For breakfast the next morning I had the strawberry sandwich. Best food, ever!
I haven't been in a Canadian 7-11 for more than paying for my gas in more than 20 years. And even before that, chips and/or a 2 liter bottle of diet Pepsi is about as much as I ever bought. Those are some nice items.
Sometimes a wholesome tabieats video is what is needed to help detoxify my senses and help me find delight in at least ONE TH-cam community. Cheers, my dudes
Konbini in Japan are awesome! So much good quality, great tasting food. Today, the Sumire fried rice (in its gorgeous hand-thrown bowl), the steamed bread with egg, the rum raisin cookies, and the custard purin were what appealed to me most. Thank you for showing us your favorites at 7-Eleven, guys. If you like it, we know it must be good! Have a fabulous weekend! 😊💜💜
Thanks guys. Fantastic video as always. Really like the quicker pace Iin this one. We lived in Okinawa fir three years in the early 90s and we still miss it. Take care.
I love how excited you both got when you tasted the rum inside of the treat. Every summer when I would visit family in Puerto Rico my aunt would make our birthday cakes with lots of rum. As I got older, I started realizing that’s why we were so happy after eating that rum cake as kids. When I say, the cake was drenched in rum, it was drenched in rum. I love both of you.❤😊
Thank you for making this video! Your recommendations made our trip so much fun! There was a Seven Eleven next to our hotel so my sons and I were there every morning trying different things. The onigiri you recommended was just the best!! I tried three or four of the different fillings and they were all good! The egg cake was also yummy! I’m just waiting for my next to try everything else. My family and I love you guys! We wish you both good blessings and hope you carry on with the videos. Sending aloha and sunshine from Hawaii!
Heat stuff like the curry bun in an airfryer at 180C for 3-5mins. You get all the crispy back! Works with any fried foods like chips/fried. Also excellent for reheating pizza!
Ever since Family Mart opened stores here maybe 4-5 years ago all the local convenience stores have become "Japanified" - in the past, our 7-11s never had onigiri, now they do. You're right about the weird flavors.. lots of local versions.. nasi lemak, beef rendang, etc. Not only that.. a Korean convenience store chain (CU) has also opened recently, they have some rather interesting (and spicy) onigiri. Looking forward to trying Japanese flavors you can't get here, such as ume. Will be there in a month, can't wait.
I visited Family Mart a couple nights ago for the first time in months, and had a look at the onigiri selection. The big change is the introduction of Korean varieties - Jjang Chicken, Kimchee, etc. Probably at least partially due to CU opening branches here. What's disappointing is the oden - I wanted the traditional Japanese soup but they were sold out of it or don't sell it any more (even though the sign at the counter says it's an option) - they only have tom yam soup (and it turned out to be too spicy).
Love the Goodies from 7Eleven ! Karaage boh Stick , seaweed potato chips , Onigiri 's , amazing varieties of food ! Love the sweets ! Thank you for sharing !
I am going Japan in April and staying at a hotel near a 7-11. I will try these, they look so good! I also make Mapo Tofu at home. I make it not too spicy. Arigatōgozaimasu! 4月に日本に行くのですが、セブンイレブンの近くのホテルに泊まります。これらを試してみます、とても良さそうです!麻婆豆腐も家で作ります。辛すぎないように作ってます。どうもありがとうございます!
When i was in Japan, i mostly eat at 7-eleven, Famima and Lawson...Also, street foods and vending machine... Food is good everywhere! Always say to peoples: if you go to Japan, nice hotel are great but, if you don't care and you just want to sleep... don't go in pricey hotels! They're many alternative and same for the food! You can eat a lot...for some $$$! I did go to some Ryokan because the experience was amazing! But it was for one night at the time! Also ''theme'' hotels...they are cheap for a couple hr of sleep! And yep...i would go back...not for live there, but just to visit! And i would probably still mostly eat kombini's meals! I would say the biggest problem for me, was to not purchase too much! They just have so much choices... And i like to taste new things!
Finally getting to catch up with your videos, and this one endeared me to the core! 🍙 CLASSIC Shinichi and Satoshi! ✨🥰 I love the riceballs, but I am the most jealous of the steamed egg-custard cake and the puddingggg! 🤤
My son and his GF are currently visiting Tokyo and Osaka for spring break. Going forward this video to them so they can try out some of these yummy foods.
So in my area there used to be four or five 7-11 stores. Being in WV, they were all terrible. They were all owned by the same people except for one. That one store is now the only one open, the rest of them were all closed down. The only thing they had worth getting was a Slurpee, because it was the only carbonated freeze drink, and that's not available anymore. It would be great if we had any convenience stores in the US comparable to a Japanese 7-11 or Lawson or Family Mart. No, Wawa and Sheetz don't count.
These look just wonderful! How I wish we could get the seaweed potato chips here in Wisconsin, US. Those looked completely and totally amazing! And I do love to see your shared enthusiasm over the foods you try. It is so relaxing to watch you eat foods you enjoy.
Love this video! I was planning to rewatch Tabieats convenient stores videos to note it down what we should try! Now I know what to get at 711! Thank you so much TabiEats for sharing! 💕 PS : Love the dragon on the background!
I don’t know what happened, but I wasn’t receiving notifications for your TH-cam channel!! I thought maybe you both were taking a break. I have so many videos to watch now! Keep up the hard work! I love your content!
👍👍i recently went to Japan twice in the end of 2023 for work, and i tried the instant tofu spicy soup you guys show here - i loved it! i brought back a full pack of them to US! Japan 7-11 food is fantastic, i always buy something there when it's too late to go out after work
My Fav is NanaChiki Pepper Garlic and Baguette with creem cheese/Salmon . Unfortunately some sandwiches are limited edition. I like Chicken sandwich with vegetables because they have low calories , high protein and taste very good. Some weeks ago it was Chicken with cucumber. Now they have Smoked Chicken with vegetables that is very good
For me one of the onigiri I always look for is the one with kombu. Any onigiri is handy to have for a quick snack at home or on the go. I usually pick up some food for dinner and breakfast the first day I arrive in Japan. It's easy and with 7/11 you have the added convience that often you can find an ATM there.
I dream of the day when I will be able to walk into a Japanese Convenience store. I can picture myself walking straight to the instant ramen isle and feeling like I found heaven… Ive been a fan of this channel for a long time.
In the rice ball, is that the kind of fish that was in your Kokoro cares box you had out a couple of years ago? If so, those little fish are good. I had them on rice. Yum! Btw guys I had Tteokbokki for the first time the other night and now I'm hooked. Now I know why you love it so much Shinichi. It's so good. Take care guys.❤🤗
GREAT video!!! Really enjoyed this one. Since i can't get any of it here, I'm just going to go make egg salad and put it on a hot dog roll and pretend LOL 😆
The steamed bread with egg has such a soft texture, I loved biting into it. One time I also had some (slightly) spicy noodles at a 7-11 to heat up that were SO GOOD!! Not sure if it's an original 7-11 item though :D
Trader Joe’s has a great spicy Thai shrimp fried rice in their frozen section. It only has a few shrimp and no egg, so I add a few scrambled eggs and extra shrimp when I make it.
Wow i need a fluffy bread to try with my vegan egg salat😍looks so good! I wonder what japanese super markets offer as vegan alternatives. Maybe you could do a video.
Hawaiʻiʻs 7-Elevens have pretty good food, especially in the busy tourist areas, but I wish we could have more of these delicious items that are available in Japan. I heard the Hawaiʻi stores are overseen by the Japanese 7-Eleven company, and I think all of the things you like in Japan would also be popular in Hawaiʻi, so why canʻt they ship over things like the ramen and snacks and give the recipes for the hot foods? It may not be easy to get all the seafood ingredients, but I think most of the items could be made in Hawaiʻi. I guarantee Asian tourists would buy them up in addition to the local Hawaiʻi products.
I am not a 7-eleven guy. I prefer Familymart or Daily Yamazaki. I guess I need to check out the other places selections more. That pudding near the end looked really good.
Most of the food looks very good. I have to say though, due to my seafood allergies, I would not be able to eat anything with that. Thank you for sharing this video.
as far as I know there is 7-11's left in the UK we did have them they were terrible if there had been anything like the ones ing Japan I think we would still have them but In japan family mart was my goto the steamed pork buns OMG

And do it in a somewhat healthy manner. America really needs to take a page out of Japan's book as far as that's concerned lol. Satoshi-san is very handsome sporting that bald head with the beard. 😊

I cannot hoot spicy food my stomach would hate me
Great choices.

Haven’t seen you guys for a year or so and I miss you so so much! Thank you for doing it! You are amazing! ❤
I walk in to an American 7-11 and I go, "Meh." I see you two and go, "wow!"
Haha I feel same as u too!
I envy Japan for their convenience stores.
I wish our 7/11's in america were on the same level.
I haven't been in a Canadian 7-11 for more than paying for my gas in more than 20 years. And even before that, chips and/or a 2 liter bottle of diet Pepsi is about as much as I ever bought. Those are some nice items.
Ya I wish the 7-11 had the fresh fried foods like the curry bread and the chicken and the different ramens.

So glad you ditched the ball cap. So much more handsome without the hat.
Imagine all those years when you felt so shy. 💁🏻♀️ 💕
Exactly hes so cute
Great video ! I am definitely trying egg salad bun, sumire ramen and the special Kyoto onigiri! Can't wait till we head to Japan again!
Heat stuff like the curry bun in an airfryer at 180C for 3-5mins. You get all the crispy back! Works with any fried foods like chips/fried. Also excellent for reheating pizza!

when i lived in japan i couldnt find good fried rice UNTIL i tried the frozen ones! the best!
I would maybe love the beef rice bowl ^^ Great episode, fun to see what you can find at a Japanese 7-Elevn.
Thanks for your recommendation, guys! Would try the foods when i come to Tokyo at the end of december😁
Hope you enjoy them!
I always have to have one of your food haul videos playing when I eat dinner.
Yummy everything looked delicious. Looking forward to your next video. Sending you both lots of well wishes from California 🌻
Yay, I'm so excited to try these. I'm going to japan in two weeks.
Love the Goodies from 7Eleven ! Karaage boh Stick , seaweed potato chips , Onigiri 's , amazing varieties of food ! Love the sweets ! Thank you for sharing !
The gentleman in the Hawaii shirt _really_ enjoys food 😮
I am going Japan in April and staying at a hotel near a 7-11. I will try these, they look so good! I also make Mapo Tofu at home. I make it not too spicy. Arigatōgozaimasu!

Aww thanks so much! We are bringing back some of our classic style to our channel. Enjoy!
I love the pickled veggies. I get the veggies in American Japanese restaurant that my husband and I love to eat at.
salty/spicy chicken things are #1 - those things that look like a hashbrown patty. absolutely incredible
Great video !
お久し振りにお二人の動画を見ましたけど楽しくて面白くて大好きです🤗(but it always makes me so hungry!)これからも頑張って下さい!
yes that sumire instant ramen is so good!
I ❤how you guys make these foods so yummy! I can’t wait to go to Japan again to try them! Thank you!😊

Aloha, thank you for showing how to open the musubi with nori wrapper. I’ll be in Japan in April and will be sure to visit 7-11.
🎉🎉Energy enjoyed & seeing Japanese 7 eleven wow so interesting 🎉🎉

@@TabiEats awesome

Yes that’s exactly what’s inside the rice ball. Glad you like it as well!
This makes me sooo Hungry!! ^^
I do the same with ramen! Always less water less cooking time
I hope you can also do your top 15 food picks from Japan Family Mart as well. :)
Great idea! Stay tuned!
Just finished my own supper and would love the pudding with caramel sauce you had at the very end. Similar to a flan, I think.
This is so funny, We just got back from Tokyo and I actually ate both the Mapo Tofu and the Beef Bowl!
The food you picked looked delicious. If there was a 711 that sold only Japanese food, I would always and only go there. 😊
Trader Joe’s has a great spicy Thai shrimp fried rice in their frozen section. It only has a few shrimp and no egg, so I add a few scrambled eggs and extra shrimp when I make it.
I loved those egg roll salad buns! One thing I didnt like was the mapo tofu, it didn't have much flavour.
Im so hungry watching this! I wish we had your 7-11 in California! Everything looksso delicious 😊
I must admit, I am very envious... if we even had 25% of that selection in the US I would go to 7-11 all the time
great choices. i would eat every single one.
Cool, thanks really interesting. Also compliments on your ceramic bowl! Laurie NZ. 😊
I love egg salad sandwich and potatoes chips
Wow i need a fluffy bread to try with my vegan egg salat😍looks so good! I wonder what japanese super markets offer as vegan alternatives. Maybe you could do a video.
Oh Airfryer is preferred for certain food reheating food keeps crunch
Morning guys love you both ❤❤❤❤
We used to have Rum and Raisin ice cream here in NZ.
I havent seen you in awhile. It might just be my stream even though I am subscribed. Just glad to see you! I wondered what happened to you two!
Love your videos! Can you do a video with gluten free options?

Think we got to try that ramen through Frank's 5AM Ramen Box. Rice balls are always good. I want to try curry pan if we ever get back.
Can you also do a supermarket recommendatiom plus recommended souvenirs?
I would try that curry bread and the crispiness would be an attraction for me too, Satoshi.
I am not a 7-eleven guy. I prefer Familymart or Daily Yamazaki. I guess I need to check out the other places selections more. That pudding near the end looked really good.
I wish we had a Daily Yamazaki near we love: it’s difficult to find them in Tokyo these days
Team Famima here as well!
The biggest surprise is that the food is affordable. Unlike in America, where everything is $7+.
I’m in Japan now and the difference between US and Japanese 7-11 is freaking crazy.
My top 3 are both of the rice bowls, pudding & rum minus the raisins.😁
I'm so glad I had steak bento today for lunch. I'm a lot less jealous than I normally am. 😂
12:12 the best miso ramen bowl
seeing the nori chips ... have you ever tried the fried nori snacks like the ones by tao kae noi ? I love them but its so expensive in my country ;(
I know what to buy on my next visit - the instant ramen!
💛...could you put the usd equivalent again?...thanks...
I love it this video 100 Epic Japanese food
Kewpie mayonnaise is amazing for those who want to know.
Yum
Most of the food looks very good. I have to say though, due to my seafood allergies, I would not be able to eat anything with that. Thank you for sharing this video.
I would’ve flipped the custard upside down on a plate. So sauce can flow over ❤❤❤❤
Btw do you recycle the plastic bowls etc? La. NZ.
as far as I know there is 7-11's left in the UK we did have them they were terrible if there had been anything like the ones ing Japan I think we would still have them but In japan family mart was my goto the steamed pork buns OMG
Those last cookies look like a lil debbies raisin creme pie they discontinued
boiled spinach and sweet potato leaf is tasty sir
Satoshi has sweet tooth too! Omg the rice 😮looks so gd
are there any gluten free foods in Japanese convenience stores?
They just opened a 7 /11 in Ueno that sells Kimchi.Oishi desu!
Konbanwa from America gentlemen. Question: Why are there two prices on the tags in Japan?
One is before tax and one is with tax added
Cool thanks!
The prices are unbelievable to me. 😮 where I work one slice of pizza costs more than the beef rice bowl! US prices at convenience stores are astronomical, even in my small town.
When customers complain to me about the cost I tell them “we are conveniently located, not conveniently priced”
The 7-Elevens in Japan always impress me. The 7-Elevens in America or just trash lol. Your conbinis are amazing! There you can basically live on the selections. And do it in a somewhat healthy manner. America really needs to take a page out of Japan's book as far as that's concerned lol.
Satoshi-san is very handsome sporting that bald head with the beard. 😊
