Back when I used to live in the Philippines, songs like this are what they used to call 'baduy' or out-of-style, and still do to this day. But for that reason also, they became unlike any other, and therefore, made them a renowned baduys. Their songs are novelties to me. I couldn't have possibly listened to this song while living in the Philippines as you'd be burned alive. My perspectives changed. I love all songs that sound unique. Mainstream is okay. But if everyone loves it, I kind of hate it. I like movies or songs that are least explored. Although attitude these days towards novelties have changed, thanks to social media. But other people continue to be so shallow and narrow, kaya na unggoy yung iba e. Tanga kasi. At least di sila baduy. LOL. It's better than nothing I suppose. It reminds me of how gospel music is usually performed from the heart, and they say, it's poverty that made them sing so beautifully as if they've taken the voice out of their innermost miseries, or longing for something better. While there are many similarities among minorities, Filipinos should be smart enough not to be enslaved by other minorities or anyone for that matter with a thirst for hunting. There's a long list of do's and dont's with minorities as they each vary depending on where they're from. And while some poorer countries like Philippines are naturally inventive, they don't often resort to stealing, or robbing people off for their own gain or to survive. Some minorities, however, as America continues to prove it, comprise much of the nation's gang-related crimes, and Asian don't even make the list. That's a good thing. Wag lang maging tanga.
