The pivot and awkward shuffle we learn in the U.S. is completely unnecessary. We only think it's normal because we are used to doing it.

Great video as always, I love the cuban boxing style. I saw Andy Gruz Gomez fighting in the olympics and he got me interested in the cuban style, can you do breakdown on tricks and movement he uses in a fight ? Love your videos mate
Mr. Charles, he struck a very interesting combination. Instead of a second side kick, he punched an uppercut. So it's a good idea. If the opponent rushes into the attack with a tilt of the head after the first side kick, then it is possible to punch the uppercut with a second blow with a shift to the side. This is very useful.

No I am not Cuban. I learnt Soviet boxing and began dancing Cubam and Colombian salsa. Then I realised this was essentially the elements of the Cuban technique and then transitioned as a coach. Now I coach a team with a Cuban coach and it is the only thing we offload at the club.
