The Rufous-collared Sparrow (Zonotrichia capensis) is a passerine bird in the Passerellidae family. It is one of the best known and most esteemed birds in Brazil. Its name comes from Tupi and derives from its name. This bird and the sparrow are two common species in urban areas and many people confuse them despite having easily noticeable differences.
