The Ultra is just a rebranded 900 with slight tweaks. Bose could offer a firmware upgrade instead of making people shell out more money in this tight economy. I didn’t hear that much difference to make me dump my 900.
I was looking at both but decided to go with the 900 since the only difference I could tell is the AI for dialog. While a nice feature (assuming it works), I'm not sure it is worth the massive price difference. Also, one of my local stores had it for an additional $150 off, which just made it a no-brainer to me. I plan to use the difference to add a subwoofer and eventually surround speakers.
The other difference is no google assistant built into the ultra (only Alexa). The ultra is basically chrome cast... you need a separate device to control it with "OK Google Play... on the soundbar".
The 700 and 900 it was built in.

Are all the reviews on the channel like this? Seems like it’s just AI generated. The drivers are the exact same between these soundbars, but “he” says multiple times that they’re different.
Did you actually test and review either of these products? I can't help but notice you've just compiled video from other YT channels and summarized + repeated the points from them 🫤
If you need online spec sheets read off with errors over b-roll from other videos and often showing the wrong product this channel has you covered

What is the difference? Looks like he discribes same futures. Also back in days 900 was positioned as soundbar that would fill your room with the sound from all direction. Not see difference...
I exchanged the Ultra for the 900. I could not get the Ultra to connect to the app. The app didn't recognise it.

i ordered the Bose 900 sound bar and was wondering is the HDMI cable that Bose provides a perfect match to the Bar or should a person upgrade the HDMI cable ?? if so which brand and type ? plus anyone else that wants to give their opinion much appreciated ....MERRY CHRISTMAS all....cheers from Vulcan Canada
I just 900 and get great results with the Bose branded hdmi with the arc connection
I haven't had any issues with Amazon Basics HDMI cable. As long as it supports the spec, you should be good. HDMI is digital - so it either works or it doesn't. Alternatively, could use the included Optical cable.
Thanks for this. Sounds as though Ultra gives an immersive experience without the need for extra speakers apart from a subwoofer.

The Soundbar 900 has other Atmos divers than the ultra soundbar? I thought only the software were different?
It's literally the same device the only difference is they added AI dialogue to the ultra that's it. it's just a pure cut-and-dry cash grab from Bose
The ultra broke down within a week don't know why but I loved my 900 and I don't think I'll upgrade.

Seems like they just repackaged the 900 with a new AI dialogue feature, and honestly the 900 is not bad by any means in dialogue.
Due to no discount for 900 in the EU like in the US, I decided to take Ultra.

If you have ark on your TV, it controls sound on all HDMI ports.
