Very helpfull thank you,my electric stopped workin so i switched heater to gas,im worried about monoxide,my caravan has three vent type things in floor,i guess these are meant to be open, one in bathroom, two in front
Yes do always leave the vents open. We use propane gas too, because it is heavier than air so should always fall if there is a leak. (Make sure the regulator is a red one for propane.)
Hi, I have the same fine and works fine off gas with blower working fine.. connected to mains but no green light. Any ideas? Haven’t connected the 12v battery if that’s relevant. Thanks in advance.
Mine was working fine but just gone to turn it on now and there's nothing. No click. I've taken the front off and changed the battery but the ignition button came out and now won't go back in properly so I can turn it. Still no ignition 😭
Hi, after removing to change the battery they are very tricky to put back together. The botton will return to its correct place with a lot of perseverence and a little luck, when we do ours we have to keep trying and eventually it just pops into place. Good luck.
DMH Motorhome Hire , Cheers , that’s great thanks , I have just bought a van and the fire in it seems very similar to yours there , was a little worried carbon mon oxide , so are they flued to the outside like a house fire ?
@@Simon-390 Hi, ours is flued to the outside (obviously I cannot advise on yours because I haven't seen it). The best thing to do is to organise a gas safety test by a gas safe engineer. If your van is old then you may find that the flue could be blocked with dust and debris. If you are going to use it overnight make sure you have plenty of ventilation, don't be tempted to block drafts in a motorhome they are there for a reason. Also check the colour of the flame, if it is orange then do not use. Carbon monoxide detectors are reasonably cheap nowadays. Remember, carbon monoxide is the silent killer.
DMH Motorhome Hire , That’s great thanks , as a newby I am very greatful for any help I can get . I fully understand you can’t comment but your tips are most welcome , thanks again 🙏
Yes but keep a window open and always have a carbon monoxide detector .I leave the gas ring on the instead of the heater as it gets too hot .just keep in on a trickle to keep chill off the air.
I hate these heaters, there bloody horrible, freezing cold and it's clicking away on the first button manual,I'm holding my thumb down while almost breaking it nothing

The battery is not required

There is hole on the front panel where you can see the spark/fire.
Hi , could I sleep in the van all night with that going ?
Hi, yes you could. We do when we go away in the winter. Hope that helps :-)

They can be quite tricky. Has it been serviced recently? Our gas chap is brill he frees up the switches and things when he does ours.
