thank you so much, this was so helpful. I need a 30mm and a 50mm hook. What they want for these hooks vs. the amount of times i will use them, just did not make sense to me. So I'm gonna give making my own hook a shot. Thanks so much.
This is a great tutorial! Thank you so much! I actually plan on using some Osage Orange aka Hedge Apple, Apple, Red Maple, Sweet Gum and Cedar initially. I've been crocheting since I was 9 and am 57 now. I love the wooden hooks, but have not been thrilled with cost, durability or design overall, amd have had nothing but awful luck with the bamboo hooks I've purchased. Thanks again! ~ APRIL LIPKE
Thank You for the video I really didn't think anyone would have a video on this topic and here it is. Today I found a small branch/twig and it was fairly straight carved me up a crochet hook now I'm making all kinds of rope with it
Just love this tutorial. Watching from UK as a crochet hook user who just purchased whittling knives and blanks. Having a go when I don't have so much Prosecco coursing through my bloodstream! Thanks :)
So inspiring! Thank you for your knowledge!
This was super helpful thx
Locust tree is my favorite! When it flowers it’s so pretty and makes the whole area smell nice. The thorns are rough though for sure
Thank you!

Very nice. I have several heirloom trees that are generations old and this would be a great project for them. Thanks so much.

I tried it with a chopstick. Not bad for my first try
Does the pith cause any trouble
Can I use dry branches?
