A thing I love about the Irish tunes is the funniness of their names. 😛 Thanks for your precious tips for playing faster on the guitar or other instruments, Shannon and Matt 😉. I found an exercise on YT to release tention in the forearm s and it relieved pain in the wrists too ☺️ Alelooya . I learn tunes not as fast as I thought might but keeping a daily practice. @@almatka1 Hi Judit. I shall share a helpful video which explains it better than written words. Please remind me tomorrow if I forgot. I have to find it again first.
@@almatka1 Hello Judit! I found it. It's called Guitar Tendinitis Treatment. You can watch it hear. It did help me with releasing useless tension and feel better. 🙂 th-cam.com/video/fHuISr6CSOI/w-d-xo.html
@@ShannonHeatonMusic It is interesting that we interpret the title so differently. I take see malice in the title. Dancing on his wife's grave to celebrate her departure. I hope others will join the thread.
Yeah, I hear you @@soslothful . Perhaps the tune IS intended in a more macabre or mean way. Hi Shannon . Some tunes are awkward in the fingering and I have to rely on muscle memory for a while . This is one of those . Great tune though . Often goes with the Hags Purse ( ....I think. .? )
I REALLY appreciate the guidance for breathing. I have a bad habit of not planning where to breathe!
ah, great! I think figuring out how to phrase the tune helps it all make more sense. It makes it easier. So you can then play it with ease.
Beautiful lesson! I play mandolin I wonder if singing it phrase by phase will help me too. I’ll give it a try! Thanks!
hope the singing is working for you! I think it's great for all instruments.

I'm learning this snappy jig on the whistle. It's a very catchy jig but the title is rather creepy.
I know what you mean.. but I prefer to think of this as a call for celebration of our loved ones!

The jollity in the tune belies sentiment of the title
