Boil the thick cut fries after cutting them but the key is to not over boil them until they are soft. u wanna put them in a bowl after straining them cover it with a plate and give it a nice shake.
u wanna rough up the edges of the fries before finishing them in the air fryer . More roughed up edges = more Crispy goodness.

Yeah just a bit for flavor and it helps create a better texture to the fry. You can certainly leave it off entirely, but the fries just don't turn out as well. It is for flavor, you don't have to use oil at all, it is just for flavor, and it turns out way better. Deep frying will always taste better in my opinion, but it uses so much more oil and isn't as healthy, but that is probably why they taste better haha. No oil into airfryer

wrong. Every air fryer manufacturer says to use a little bit of oil on the food. One for flavor, two, to help the food get crispier. BUT you can still cook food in the air fryer without any oil at all, but it won't taste nearly as good and won't be nearly as crispy.

I got it many years ago at Bed Bath and Beyond. There are better versions out there now, you can find them on Amazon.

Could I leave it in the water overnight if I wanted or no?

Air fryer: I will cook food without oil.
    This guy: *add cooking oil*
Air fryer: I ain’t cooking that bro.

Umm you completely miss the point. French fries are DEEP FRIED. With a ton of oil. This uses I tbsp of oil, HUGE difference. It is merely for flavor and crispiness. You don't have to use any oil at all, but they won't taste very good.
