Vintage Comedy from Cornwall's finest!
The rambling comedy style of Jethro has been making people laugh now for over 30 years.
Born the youngest son of a farmer in 1948, Jethro was brought up in the little Cornish village of St Buryan. After leaving school he worked as a carpenter, and after his apprenticeship went to work in a Cornish tin mine as a timber man before going into entertainment.
At the age of 18 after much persuasion Jethro joined the St Just and District Operatic Society, and after taking a principle part people soon realised he had a special talent to make his audience laugh
Since those early days he now sells over
250,000 theatre tickets a year, appearing in over 170 theatres and has an enormous cult following.
Over the years Jethro has made a record nine TV appearances on the Des O'Connor Show, as well as five appearances on Jim Davidson's Generation Game.
Jethro lives in Lewdown on the Devon/Cornwall border. His great love are his horses which he shows all over the country and has won most major prizes including Wembley.

Old Jethro sounds overly refreshed !
That was part of his act. In an interview he once said that he never drunk before a show because he needed to have his wits about him.
Never wrote any of his own stuff, stole it all from other comics and then put this stupid 'drunk' voice on as if to pass all the jokes off as his own

Half these jokes were told by Chubby brown ect...every comic takes the best and changes it enough not to get caught! love him though!
Jethro plagiarised his whole act. Every act. He stole every joke and changed it to suit his style but he certainly didn't 'write' his show as he'd state. You're right, he watched all Chubby and Bernard Manning shows to build his act
we were telling those jokes back in the 1930s. But it`s the way that you tell them that only comes with skill. and Jethro had that .
