- Another episode in my We Still Black History Month series. Today i'm reviewing items that are already in my collection. Giving my updated thoughts on the brand overall.

I used to buy from them all the time. But inconsistencies in the body wash and body butters made me try other products. My favorite scent is watch me blossom and the Mango. They used to carry candles, which were strong. Overall, like the company but inconsistencies made me look other places.
A lot of people have mentioned the inconsistencies. They've been around long enough to have a solid formula down so it comes out the same way everytime. Hopefully they get it together!

I love the hyperpigmentation cream, Sugar Rush Body butter, and the tumeric bar soap. Those are my holly grill items, forever purchases. Now that I know that the body butters come in smaller sizes I will purchase those sizes cause it takes forever to use up the large jars.
I was literally looking at the bigger body butters like, it's going to take me forever to finish it up! 😂😂 They have a few items that are in my holy grail list!! That sugar rush scent is something special!!
I guess I don’t pay attention to the shelf life because I use it everyday and as long as the seal isn’t cracked, it should be fine…now the oils I don’t use at all…I’m not an oil girl cuz my skin is already oily (make sense)…I do however LOVE their body butters and scared to move on to another company (ie canvas beauty)
😂😂 I definitely understand. Sometimes it's just hard to try something new when you already have something you love!
I have purchased from Ancient Cosmeticz and would repurchase again. I like the body polishes, the Caramel Butterscotch body oil, Birthday Cake body butter, and I want to try the Even Skin and Brown Suga body butter
The body polishes are my favorite! Its one of the few things I want to always repurchase from them!
Loved this video. I over purchased from AC not taking the self life into consideration. Some of my products are in my closet that have never been opened, but I'm trying to use them all up now. The oil bottles do get cruddy and the scent from the nozzles are horrible, but smell fine using them. I thought that was weird. I enjoyed the scrubs and body polish, my skin out of the shower felt succulent. I will repurchase again, but I will never buy the big jars of the body butter again that is just too much product for me to go through. TFS
Yes my first purchase I had no idea about the shelf life. So I ordered everything!! There's certainly a learning curve to ordering from them which can be off putting to some people. But once you learn the little tricks you can find some things you really love and repurchase!
I stopped buying their stuff. The oils expire too fast for me. The butters last pretty long tho. They just take forever to rub in
The oils do go pretty quick. But the new bottles don't have that shelf life on them so I'm wondering if they fixed that. The butters do take a little elbow grease! 😂
Add a little of another oil to butters that are hard. I add avocado oil or pumpkin to butters from various companies.
I always love your unique introduction on your videos. I just placed a big order with them today, with the big sale. Got the birthday cake body oil/butter & also a bunch of soaps. My sister did a few days ago as well. Love this company. The gourmands yummmm!! Clean vegan products too. 💖☺️👏👏👏
Great in-depth review, Vania! I’m also a fan of their body polishes. Out of all the products I’ve tried, I’d repurchase the body polish, body oil, and whipped soap (such a treat in the shower 😍). I too made the mistake of overbuying during one of their sales, but I’ve managed to use up most of my stash, thankfully 😄

I used them a few years ago and wasn’t impressed with their stuff due to the inconsistency in their products.

Last year I watched your reviews which made me order a few items. The body butter I put in the microwave for ten seconds then it rubs on easily lol.. the only thing is everything expires fast and that sucks. Great review as usual 😊

I love their body oils, and scent for me last last til the end. Will purchase again. Never tried the body polish. I'm gonna have to try them because I love Dove body polish. Body butter girl girl girl is a problem for me. Can't do it. Thanks for the review
Their body polish is so good! You come out the shower feeling like you just put on an in shower moisturizer. And I definitely understand about the body butter 😂 I've been using it more lately the last couple days and for some reason it does better when my dry versus when its wet 🤷🏾♀️

I wouldn't be surprised if it did. It was the ONLY product that could get my skin to calm down.
Love their items! I’m using their oils in the shower now. Hydrating Passionfruit is my fav scent 🤤 I just went to look for the Banana one and it’s no longer on the site 😫 I love banana scents!
I shy away from using oils in the shower because I think it may cause drain issues
@@molawing I don’t rinse it off, after I rinse the soap off I put the oil on while my body is still wet then pat dry with my towel

Hello Ms Vania. Regarding the Chocolate Body Butter , I gave mine away. I just DID NOT like that fragrance. I must say. I do LOVE all the others. I have even purchased the body mists. The soaps are amazing as well. Im happy with the consistency of the body butters. I have no problems. Wait I don’t have Bubble Gum or any Body Polish. Let me go shopping 😆. As long as the oil keep moisturizing I don’t mind about the scent. I have quite a few Middle Eastern Oils that I can combo with. ❤
I’ve picked it up once since I filmed this video and I am not a fan of it either. I’ve never tried their mists. The good thing is the oil is very moisturizing even with the scent being gone. I use them as in shower moisturizers and it’s so good! Thanks for watching! 🥰

As long as it don’t go rancid the oils and butters are still good.. you will know if it’s rancid it will not smell good or look cloudy
Yes I still used the oils even when the scent was gone. It made an excellent in shower oil!
If you blend butter with some oil it will go on skin smooth
I kept mine in the bathroom, but it was difficult to apply. I also didn’t like that the oil shelf life expired rather quickly. I honestly wasn’t impressed.
I did like their scrubs.
Their scrubs are the star of the show to me. I've also discovered that the butter doesn't go in well when the skin is damp. It worked better for me when my skin was dry!
@@vaniamickelle Good point. I will likely purchase more scrubs. I won’t be buying more of the body butter. It was very hard and keeping it in the bathroom still barely helped. I have to add moisture right when I get out of the shower, as my skin is very dry. Otherwise my skin will be ashy.😂
