When I started watching your channel one of the things that I loved is that you use the same Hamilton Beach stick blender that I use, I felt related, because other channels use very expensive ones like cuisinart and other posh brands, and I said to myself "she is a pro and uses the same stick blender as I am, I'm doing it right!". And from yesterdays video and this one I was laughing out loud with your unintentional jokes!
Romance writers have LOTS of euphemisms for those long, sleek, shiny shafts of pleasure. Why, I just heard a new one today--love arrow. In all my years writing I never heard that one before, and I just about hurt myself laughing so hard when I did.
I used to use stick blender for cheddar broccoli soup. We don't like big chunks of broccoli. I have decided it's just easier to use an actual blender. I also use it to make homemade mayonnaise.
I love the video cos its nasty!😂 I have not graduated to buying new equipment yet. From the OP shop (thrift store) I got 2 stick blenders and 2 scales for $10. Winning!
I actually have that same scale, the one with the stainless steel surface and the ruler. I've found the ruler less useful than I had thought it might be... but it's the scale I use now. And I giggled like a school boy throughout this video. It was great. Thank you! I've spent all day feeling kind of drained and this was a nice pick me up.
It's my second scale (I started soaping nearly but not quite a year ago). I had to replace it early this year when my first one got wet and decided "Water? I, as a kitchen scale, cannot come into contact with something so mundane as WATER. I'm done now." And crapped out on me. =| This one is a good replacement so far. It's much more sensitive so I find that I need to give it an extra moment to settle down as weights will fluctuate up and down if things slosh.
Love your review. Haha. Need a new stick blender. Mine is 20 plus years old. Haha. It seems to get hot. Only had it this many years because I never use it. Until now, jumping into the soap world. Hamilton Beach it shall be. Easy to find too. Walmart ways has some on their shelves.
Excellent video!! Thank you for sharing. I have a stick blender with a ridge head and I think it creates air bubbles, especially in my small batches. I have just stuck with just because but I’m gonna try another one!
LOL, I have the Americana for making mayo/salad dressings. I would never use it in soap, it lacks a lot of power but was a cheap grab on amazon when I was buying other stuff. I think I got it on special for $8 or something.
I watched or listened rather to it while I was switching out my baker ignitor for the oven. I'm saying this because you made me notice how dirty I was🤣. So I guess I fit with the theme this evening. Love my Hamilton Beach as well. The Bella royally sucks.
To anyone I can help!! I hate the blue stick blender!! It burned up after 4 batches and the plastic on the inside of the machine chips and it’s super loud… 10/10 don’t recommend
Dirty, stained, well used - it’s how you can tell it’s a real review and not some sponsored ad, I guess…? 😂
it's important to feed your inner child ... I did chuckle ... not seeing a problem ;)
You would be a hoot to go out drinking with or to a music event where alcohol is permitted. You have the type of humour I love xx
Awesome video, and your humor is just perfect!!! Dirty themes for soapy channel... perfect combination!!!! Almost like you planned it... LOL
I mostly use immersion blenders for soup, but also sauces, vinaigrettes, whipped cream.
I should learn how to cook. 😭

Dying!! Thanks for the giggle.

That’s freaking awesome 🤩 thrift stores for the win!

I LOVE my Hamilton Beach... I've tried many stick blenders, and HB is sturdy, reasonably priced and are great for emulsified body butters, and soaps.
I have the bella stick and it got wobbly too. I super glued it
Thank you for all of the wonderful information

Hamilton beach is great!
I have the Hamilton beach one, too, from Walmart; it’s been great!

Exactly!! The air bubbles!!!!

I feel like the Bella might be the stick blender that broke on me while I was making the shave soap during the master class at the shop 😂😂😂
Ha! Yes that one is the last one I have in the shop - they all broke!

The likes are at 69, and I can’t ruin it because it’s on theme - so, here’s a comment for the alligator rhythm 😄
My first stick blender lasted one batch. One of the places where you attach the stick to the motor broke
Not so dirty dear. It just shows you are really into everyday soaping. Love all your videos.
I use mine for potatoe soup!
I'm new at soap making, i just want to make sure i understood right, so if my scale is off 2g it's still ok to use?
Ideally you don't want your scale to be off, but that is such a slight amount that it will be fine for a soap batch.
@@MrsSoapAndClay thank you so much! I'm making my first batch today ☺️ oh and thanks for the dirty video lolhaha
Not a fan of the Bella either. I have broke both the whip and the stick blender.

Yeah that one was not a good purchase, for sure!
Don’t worry 😉 you’re not the only one that’s dirty❣️
