@serzh_5199 All (99%) of US homes have 230V / 240V. We have it at our panels, but it only gets run to a few of the outlets in the house. It's a common misconception about the US system Russia is looking out for its own interests. The tension between our nations is for very different than it was during the cold War.
It's called a "consumer unit". This distributes the incoming supply to a building to all the circuits (light, power, heating etc) and provides over current and earth leakage protection. All reasonably modern houses have something similar to this in the UK. Most regular houses don't need one this large with two rows though.
Common type set up for automation control. That mostly low voltage and/or low current control circuits. But this is a residential panel used in 240volt countries. Take one of these breakers apart and take a QO breaker apart. These are very cheaply made by comparison and their interrupt ratings are usually lower. I'd much rather have the US type load centers for multiple reasons. But these are not set up for split phase 120/240 volt systems like we use in the US
@@gorganfredman5363 DIN rail is convenient in some applications and I'm OK with it for Control level stuff, but not a fan of its use in power distribution. Mainly because the mounts rely on a tiny little plastic tab to secure it. I prefer to see secure metal to metal mounts. It's just more solid and secure and if you have some kind of internal failure, it's more likely to produce a ground fault. That's a good thing. I have seen some DIN rail stuff go up in flames without causing fault trip. Sometimes I think we use too much plastic in place of metal. Some of this plastic burns too readily and becomes fuel. Temperature resistant plastics are usually rated to 100C, which isn't all that hot, Flame retardant plastics. loke used for wire insulation, performs better, but looking at the specs of most of this stuff, I only see some temperature ratings. IDK, maybe I'm just old school, but I like the idea of avoiding flammable materials in electrical enclosures, With the old NEMA design standards, you could hold a welding torch to it and not set it ablaze. I have doubts that these DIN panels can take that. It's a real pain to get deep into the EN/IEC spec standards as well as with UL too. That said, UL ratings generally tend to be more conservative. It's not unusual to see EN/IEC ratings down rated by UL.
I am also a sparky in the US. Don rail mount systems are used in soo many counties and they are so easy to work with. In the US there are so many different types of residential and even light commercial panels and the all have their own breakers that you have to use. DIN mount is so nice because it's so universal and there are so many accessories you can add into a panel. I am tempted to put a din rail panel into my house but every other electrician that follows would have no idea what to do with it.

These panels are junk and can't hold up to typical short circuit faults in the US, without bursting into flames!! I am so sick of so called "sparkies" who think easier is better. You probaby think Wagos are great too!! US hardware is designed to take absolute worst case faults and keep it contained. These cheap consumer panels will not contain anywhere near what a standard distribution panel will. Drop hand grenade in a 35 gallon plastic trash can vs. a 55 gallon steel drum. That is a fair analogy to the difference. They aren't even close to providing the same level of containment. Of course, if you don't' have a fault in either panel, they "protect" equally s well. I'll take the US spec ratings any day!

@@victoriamarotosilva7093 he did all of that and no a screwdriver isnt being used for such things because surge breakers and such arent exactly made of diamonds (and also for safety reasons due to electric arcs since a slotted screwdriver should have isolation protecting you)

@@philv3941 Unica modular series of outlets bought from official distributor here 5 years ago. Brittle trash that I cannot even buy replacements for anymore because they don't make it. They are not even expensive, they cost slightly less than the most expensive series by a local manufacturer. The breakers and RCDs are just meh I would say, K60N series, either Bulgarian or Indian factory, inconsistent printing on all but if they work it is OK. The Made in Spain IC60N breakers are $9 each, f that.

А ты следы работы пресса на многожильном не увидел? Вместо НШВИ конец просто опресовали. Кстати VW любит подобное соединение автомобильных проводов между собой. Простая опресовка. Без гильз и прочего.

We used the EZ range in TV outside broadcast vehicles and it was beautiful. We had some very unusual devices and our Schneider rep always managed to find them for us. The best part of these boards is the ability to change a two pole single width device in the middle of a bus bar without having to undo every single MCB or RCBO on the same bus bar.
I have an unusually powerful attraction to crimping ferrules but have very little practical need for them because all our residential panel wiring is done with solid core. With PLCs there is a more call for stranded wire but alas I do very little control wiring.
There’s nothing to stop you putting boot lace ferrules on solids; there’s no practical reason to, other than aesthetics if you are so inclined, but they won’t do any harm.

@ASH yeah I'm totally not an electrician and have no clue about what a RCBO is or does. My point still remains. RCBOs with functional earths or flying earths are 🤮🤮🤮🤮 Schneider themselves do RCBOs without flying earths. I think the whole point of this video was to show off his crimper/stripper.
@@Nunya_247 Had this in my practical midterm exam of my apprenticeship for electronics technician. Remember this because my company had to buy one extra for this exam. An RCBO is seemingly just a combination of an RCD and a circuit breaker in one casing, specifically for sockets, and seemingly only to occupy less space in the fuse box. Might be wrong though, we never use those things when building control cabinets. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Actually, here in the UK, we can populate a whole board with RCBOs. They are not only for sockets. We have B6 RCBO's, which we would use for lighting circuits or even the gas boiler, smoke alarm circuit. Of course, it's up to the electrician to correctly choose the rating RCBO, which will depend on the load of the circuit, cable cross-sectional area, etc.. They will have to choose from B6, B10, B16, B20, B32, and B40 in a domestic setting anyway. You won't find any boards that are half RCD populated with MCBs and the other half with RCBOs.

I’ve never heard about a fire in properly done fuse box. It will melt and smell before any fire. Also 230V help because the currents are much smaller compared to US. Very big loads are connected to 3-phase outlets.
Not english, used xorldwide, DIN standard (started in Germany). Used in the US too in the industry. For residential, indeed quite different from US breaker box..

Hager is great but a bit expensive to my experience. I love ABB.

Где цельная жила там без наконечника, а где много жила там уже с наконечниками.
@@user-ou1tx7yv6j , а вот и нет. Обратите внимание на вводной кабель, он без наконечника засунут. причем он не просто многожильный, а с тонюсенькими волосатыми жилами, как в автомобильных проводах (он очень дорогой, поэтому в обычной электротехнике у нас практически не используется).
У них не везде требуется, зависит куда зажимать.
@@nikkirspb, слава богу у нас везде. Без нормального наконечника такое не обжать нормально. А судя по толщине, сборка явно не на одну лампочку рассчитана. Эти "волоса" ползут хуже люмишки. Если каждое утро начинать с протяжки щита, то хрен бы с ним. Но ведь этого не будет.

What are American breakers made from?
I’ve never heard about a fire in properly done fuse box. It will melt and smell before any fire. Also 230V help because the currents are much smaller compared to US. Very big loads are connected to 3-phase outlets.

Not english, used xorldwide, DIN standard (started in Germany). Used in the US too in the industry. For residential, indeed quite different from US breaker box..
