Excellent haul mate... living the dream. You HAVE to show how you prepped and cooked them mate. You would triple your subscriptions in less than a week with 'catch and cooks'.
Great work mate love seeing home this way. Dont give away spot X lol sure you have seen Young Bloods he does some simple catch and cooks. Love the simplicity and rawness of what you are doing. Thank you for showing the home we know and love
Respect to you for taking just enough. When i saw the title "massive crayfish haul" i clicked on the video with the intent to rant about greedy, inconsiderate people. It's such a treat to see that not everyone is a full of greed. I'm glad that our waters were able to provide for you, a delicious feast. One thing i have always believed is that "When you nuture/respect the sea, the sea will always provide". Thanks for the awesome video dude 👍
Yeah sorry about the click bait title! I always think that it is best to take only what you can eat fresh and normally I wouldn't have taken nearly as much as that but we had a bit group of people staying with us so we needed a decent ammount! Totally agree about respecting the environment and it providing...Cheers!!!
In Essex in England they say “well jell “ ( very jealous ) meaning that someone is extremely envious of you or something you’ve done or obtained. When I saw those crays, fish etc, I was well jell. Excellent video again Kerry, thought I was dreaming.
Cheers mate, I think there a few people that are fitting into the "well jell" category after watching this video, I would be if it was someone else's!!!
Yes Kerry I was below Perth in Margaret's River for six months helping my mate build his beach house...I'm a yank and loved it over there...currently I dive for lobsters off the California coast...love your videos!!!!
Good stuff mate. Well done. You got you a good kai there for the whanau. Thats the way. Beautiful clean water to dive in too makes the visibility good . Awesome.
Mean diving bro..awesome channel to watch ...Your an inspirational diver ..Everytime we watch your latest video we want to go out diving ourselves. Thanks for sharing your adventures 👍
To prevent roll overs coming in through the swell on a kayak, keep paddling hard All the way to the sand, when you catch a wave and it propels you forward keep paddling harder to keep it tracking forward, if u stop the wave will turn the rear of the kayak and roll it.
You can't do that with the pedal drive down otherwise it will dig into the sand and if you take the clip that holds it down off then it will pop up when you pedal hard. It is one of the only downfalls of the kayak i reckon...Cheers!!!

This looks like the life! What wouldn’t give to be able to go out and come in with a feed like this a couple times a month. Or a couple times a week!.😉
This was a pretty epic feed but I only took that much because I knew that we had a lot of people to feed back where we were staying, I usually manage to get out most weekends so there is no need to take a lot most of the time! Cheers!!!

Awesome video....the lobster fisherman in tasmania Australia will have to get a spatula to lift there jaws back up.😂🤣😂 you wouldnt be far off a thousand$ With thoses cray. Good work.👍
How's the fishing and visibility been up your way lately? :) It's my birthday next Wednesday and thinking about flying up for the weekend from Christchurch! 😁
Those look yummy, we don't get that type in Hawaii. Pedal drives are nice but the propeller type kept jamming up with seaweed for me. I got a Hobie with mirage drive and it is smoother, faster and doesn't just stop with seaweed.
I haven't found too many problems with seaweed, usually a couple of pedals backwards clears it, I would love to try a mirage drive someday it's something I have not had a chance to yet. One kayak on my wish list is a hobie adventure island but they are just so dam expensive here even second hand...Cheers!!!
Great vid, Kerry. Amazing to see what's below the surface in those places. if you were fishing with softies, do you think you'd have got any snaps? Looked like pretty good spots, but no snapper in sight? Also, would it be handy to have a paddle stashed on the Old Town to help your surf landings (and if your foot power unit goes awry)? You look a bit vulnerable to getting broadside with just foot power only in those situations, whereas the old Town looks great for everything else when ocean going.
I'm sure that there would be snapper in close there at times but at this time of year they are a little deeper, I do have a paddle stashed in the hull of the PDL but don't really feel that it would help in the surf....Cheers!!!
Solid Kerry Much respect, dived many of these spots myself being local May not have done as good as you tho haha!!! Most people wouldnt have the balls to dive in these spots 👍🏻
Yep the whole area is pretty awesome and most of the time I don't do nearly as well as what I did in this video there, I'm pretty comfortable diving in those areas and minimise the risks by not leaving dead bleeding fish on my float line (I return to the kayak each time I shoot a fish) In saying that I may feel a bit different if I ever see a Great white there...Cheers!!!
