i bought the sulk album on vinyl after hearing party fears 2 and club country- i played it and thought it was rather odd! but that was the beauty of vinyl- i persevered with it(getting up and down to chane tracks was a no-no for a lazy git like me) and after a bit,i started to love the other tracks on the record and i would say it is probably still my favourite album ever- if i had bought it on cd, i would have played the singles but would have never discovered the greatness of the rest of it
I've got this - perversely yet to unbox, apart from the cassette - it seems I have a v. slightly different issue, as this does not have the signed cassette single - Anyway, it's a beautiful and wholly deserved thing - 'Sulk' is a magnificent beast and while, I'm not throwing out my original any time soon, looking forward to unsheathing this behemoth and 'ripping ropes from Belgian wharfs'....
I have gone through three copies of this and on each one the vinyl was scratched heavily . Initially I thought it was due to the packaging design, but on two the scratches were that deep, that couldn't be the case . What a shame this release was so messed up.
It's beautiful. What a wonderful album.
