Mr. Tate, thank you for bringing this song and these words to the world. I first heard the song in 2011 I believe and was sung by Emerson Drive, It instantly became one of my all time favorites and something I hold close to my heart, it's just such a beautiful song. Even though Emerson Drive did a great job, they didn't do the song justice after listening to you sing. Again thank you so much for this gift.
Not many songs that touch me move me makes me cry like a baby for an hour every time I hear it almost impossible to play guitar sing it myself without breaking down but hey thanks for the story behind this awesome song ❤️
Thank you for doing what I can't... I am 55, have started writing songs then quit because I have mental issues and can never finish them, then life happens. I was going through a lot in 2006 when this song debuted. Still going through things alone just like 2006. Some things never change. Not sure if it's good that I am here but, it is what it.... Isn't
I'm glad he got his song recorded, but the Emerson Drive version is a perfect example how Nashville producers steal the soul of the lyrics and compress it into a shiny ball of crap , just killing the very heart of the powerful lyrics , this version has much more depth !!!
"moments" by Emerson Drive is one of my favorite songs ever...
I've had that look in my eyes. Truely blessed I'm still here
I'd forgotten about this song. So glad I ended up down the rabbit hole with this one.
I love hearing why a song was written!
Timeless song . Great 🎵 song.

Awesome! I had a feeling this just wasn't a song someone wrote without a story. It still chokes me up. Even more so now that I know the story.
