I have a question regarding the point at 29:38; there ought to be points where boosting at least one of the rear guards gives you good numbers before you swing vg right? Like the columns here. Swinging 23k Ophelia then 30k Romana is easier on an opponent who doesn’t want to take damage until after the vg swing, especially with how good front triggers are in this climate. It’s easier to take 46k Ophelia then after the restand. When you boost Ophelia, 30k then 36k forces either an extra card to guard or for them to take a damage, which could be very detrimental for them. I always compared this deck to Hexaorb since this deck can also thrive on the fact they hit magic numbers before vg swing. Just a bit of a take on the degree of pressure i think you should be placing, it’s the real beauty of Ophelia. It seems a bit minuscule but i’ve won many games vs Wilista to not being pressured to the nth extent, being because of missed boosts. Subbed to the channel though, i like the direction your content is taking!
I am so very late to the party. Thank you for sharing your Wilista deck profile. I would love to learn and pilot your deck in my country's BCS tournament this December 2023. I want to believe Bushiroad will not choice restrict Wilista and go choice restrict on Gandeeva. In your opinion, do you expect Wilista to be power-creeped and struggle a lot in EN Set 12 / 13?
I think Wilista will continue to be good going into the set 12/13 meta. Nothing really comes out that will severely hurt the deck and with Mushiking/Touken Ranbu not slated for English yet you really only need to playtest against the current meta and learn the matchups for decks that are coming out in those sets.
What match-ups did you struggle more with your Wilista? Will Effect Heals help or generic support like Evergreen Transphere, Adelheid, Receus, Trixie? I assume this same Wilista deck you shared is what you will take to your BCS in Set 12 meta?
Worse matchups are probably just the mirror and Gandeeva for now. Still going to have to test against new stuff. All the cards you listed are probably worth trying but I've found that running the deck without techs makes it easier to find pieces Most likely won't change much unless there's a drastic change in the meta.
I wish to ask for your help on testhand, I get bored easily doing testhand by myself. I cannot image or remember how many attacks opponent makes on their turns I have to guard and how much damage I should take to simulate my top deck cards go to Damage zone. What is a good testhand script to simulate opponent's plays on their turns on me?
I would say it's best to consider you Gandeeva matchup. It's pretty easy to simulate, the deck just swings and passes until they get to G3. The you should just assume your board gets wiped and the attack 3-4 times (depending on who went first) with 20k-28k attacks.
@@KirbiKnightAh. On G3 Gandeeva turn, I assume my board gets wiped, G3 Gandeeva attacks for 13K+twin drive = 33K, each of the two RG start with 20K then 28K on next turn. I will try to imagine Gandeeva plays so I can testhand what I can guard or otherwise.
