I miss the days when nuns dressed like nuns, it commanded respect. These are the nuns that taught my school in Union City, New Jersey but sadly closed not too long ago. Fond memories of some wonderful teachers.

The discreet nuns in civilian garb in this documentary need to hang around and get catechized by Mother Miriam of the Lamb of God, to break those chains of Modernism (that is a heresy!).
Lord have mercy, Christ have mercy, Lord have mercy on us!

That was my thought also as soon as I saw the sisters in street garb. Some may think I don’t have the right to judge. I’m not judging their souls, however; I’m only saying that if a consecrated religious is proud of her state in life, she should want to show publicly that she is set aside from laypeople, that she has a calling to holiness beyond that of most Catholics.

      Amen sister Marta.
      I totally agree with that.
God bless and keep you and your family safe!

I feel more holy around nuns who look like nuns. It's disconcerting to see the sisters working on her cause wearing styled clothes, hair, jewelry, and even lipstick.
