I never got opportunity to watch Polo because I was based in Lagos then, he missed the hearts team, injured, when i watched the champs of champs duel in kumasi jan1979. I did get my chance in Lagos in an exhibition match alongside Roger Mila of cameroun in early 90's. A great Nigerian commentator, Sebastian opurum described the Ghana team in his book just before the 1978 afcon thus 'Ghana these days dance their football and Mohd Polo is the greatest dancer of them all'
i was blessed to watch him play. he was just from another planet. The house thing I will not blame Achempong , They won in 78, in 78 Achempong was overthrown. in 79 he was killed.
