That 9.8 reload is cool. I think this ship isn't for everyone but it will pay off for those who like that play style. I would play it aggressive like a destroyer close support. not a bad trade for an enemy destroyer.

I agree with the heal, it needs to replace the defensive AA. I also thinking Wargaming will need to fix the stats on concealment and smoke firing penalty. It needs to be better than Baltimore for those two stats.
Baltimore AP: 4,600 Rochester AP: 5,000 Someone told me there is a mod that boosts Baltimore damage over Rochester on top of Einstein but that makes zero sense. In the end can Baltimore AP have more damage then Rochester even tho the base is lower? Also the guy mention Einstein to boost cruiser damage but that makes no sense, Augustin Riegerwald would be the one to use but I dont see what Baltimore has that boosts it’s AP shells so much. Was curious to this detail. He said he maxed out Rochester at 5,400 and Balti at 5,700ish with Einstein and one of the mod slots. My Norman scott AP damage isn’t even maxed out and I get 5,400 on Roch even without Reigerwald. So I guess I am pretty confused on this minor detail I can’t seem to figure out since I don’t have the proper resources and Wows builds balti damage is not up to date with legends on console. Any form of clarification would be immensely appreciated. I said this on Derkas channel and I got flak for it. Lot of Balti bias. Rochester sports a lot of improvements, oh but you lose radar. What a loss for more health better guns, better conceal, potential for smoke, better AA, and somehow WG made Rochesters secondaries slightly further reaching, by .2. Still a statistic. The only thing the Balti does better significantly better is Radar, and rudder shift time, but barely. Given the same percentage of upgradability (unless Balti pulls 500-600 dmg from nowhere) there is no way Balitmore is suppressing Rochester on top of being a credit printer. I think this is one of the few ships that surpass it’s TT relatives.
Feels like it’s trying to be two ships at the same time: a premium Baltimore with better AA (seems decent), and a premium Baltimore with smoke (also nice). Instead we got one ship that’s afraid to do either thing too well, and so it ends up just being a worse Baltimore.
Interesting that there is no heal. In a different CC video that were advocating for removal of battleship will to rebuild in conjunction with removing heals from T7 cruisers. This may be an in game test from WEEGEE. This ship has little to offer/differentiation to convince me to pry my wallet open
A hybrid AA/AP build using the heels is pretty great in a division so far. Paired up with a Black and Massachusetts has been a pretty powerful combo when in the close to mid range engagements.
So far I like the ship Concealment needs a buff or they need to change "hidden" to "superior AA defenses" Otherwise guns seem solid like Baltimore, smoke lasts plenty of time and AA can absolutely melt planes Very good division cruiser
Enough with these concealment mods, It does have Smoke and doesnt have a radar so i dont see a reason to buff concealment and if you really want to use that mod than Dewey and beapley are Better for It.

Her hidden stats feel like someone definitly pressed the wrong key when imputing her concealment values

Yeah this thing couldve been better, I wish it had the smoke radar combo gimmick. Itd be alot like the Black or Sonar DDs

With the smoke fire penalty, you are better off taking the heal. The AA is awesome but like you said good luck getting in a CV match with it.

Choice should have been radar or smoke heals aren’t really optional in high tier

On the surface trading Baltimore radar for a smoke and no heals seems like a raw deal for 17,500 doubloons.
What about using AL Belfast for a inspiration?
Personally I believe they should have ported in USS Anchorage instead tbh, but maybe they'll port that in as a t8 🤷♂️
