I'm a female and i've been a Polee for about 5 weeks but as guest in my recruiter's PT sessions for 8months. I got a call yesterday i'm leaving April 4th was suppose to go in Oct 14!! So excited and happy my time bumped up A LOT! I know what i'm getting myself into my family has a long line of military serves! I've wanted to be a Marine for a long time! I found you videos last year Love them! Thanks Great Advices!
Hey DevilDog, I met a DI named Sgt Sallas (exactly as you described physically) stationed at MCRD San Diego on a field trip. I'm an NJROTC Cadet, huh I remember this one guy that came with us who wiped some sweat from his eyebrow, and Sallas hounded his ass.
In 72 at PI, the corp would send these officers around to talk to us to see if we were being abused in any way, our SDI (senior drill instructor) would get us all together the day before and tell us that if anyone of us caused him to be kicked out of his beloved corps then he had all of our addresses and we d never see our next bday....no shit, and you belived this with all your recruit heart ha ha
hey i just got a say i really appreciate these stories, i go to boot camp this Monday and weirdly enough the more i hear the more i get thrilled for the hell of the ride im getting myself into, um if its cool with you ill like to share some stories when i get back
Did they ever make you do the duck walk around the racks game? My SDI loved to make us do that when we made his shitlist. Only thing worse was our kill hat's hour of planks.
I got choked out once, most of the punches where to the upper torso (if you go to boot camp be ready for 'one arms distance for your safety' checks). If they did it, we deserved it, end of story.
Yep, the "recruit crud" was probably the worst part of boot camp. It's one of those things that isn't shown in the recruiting videos. Basically, the entire 3 months I was there, I was sick and starving. So much so, that I couldn't hardly think, and it pretty much ruined all the things that I expected to be "fun" (hikes, field exercises, obstacle courses, etc).
Thats not an Army wide thing, if it is a real thing anyway.....I went through Ft Knox (abrams crewmember), and there was no such thing, although kids were told by there recruiter that there was a "stress card". And the privates since my basic training(07) has also said no such card exists.
@rgandi2 Oh there not allowed to be nobody is around in the squad bay but you and them and god help you if you try and rat a drill instructor out for hitting you they will probably never find your body lol
There's supposed to be a rule against it, but if you are within an arm length distance from a DI and you fuck up, it's likely that you are going to get hit. And no, you can't hit back, don't even try, you will lose in many many ways.
because they can yell lol, jk you're not supposed to be talking and looking like you're chillin you do everything with speed and intensity no time for talking like you're in the park
allowed? no do they still do it? yes BUT to prepare you for combat the marine corps isnt for the faint of heart (BTW im not in the marines yet my friend is a marine and this is what he told me)
for all you know he could be a superstar MMA fighter and that comment makes him want to beat you up do not insult people for who they watch if someone likes the yogscast who care I believe rythian is a cool youtuber but I am subbed to all when all I really like are sips sjin and rythian so don't insult people for who they watch it is rude
You know... I find that offensive. There are marines that like to forget about their past. Move on from what some would say is a horrible life. Killing isn't fun. Not looking back is hard. Trying to not think about who you just killed, and who they were, what life they had waiting for them, if they had a family, and so forth. It's not something you forget. It sticks with you. No matter how much you want to let go. It's the scars that don't show, that are the worst.
It's not camping it's strategic postioning....like the two guys in the shower from episode #1.
I was watching one of these earlier... as soon as I heard, "Modern Warfare 3 is coming out soon." I'm just sitting here like, WHAT!?
Crazy how time flies. You posted this comment almost a year ago and now I’m reading it for the first time. Crazy
Parris Island the closes you can get to hell on earth lol
My Company Gunnery Sgt at OCS was a short stocky white guy named Taybor. Wouldn't be surprised if it was the same Marine
The second you said "Major Payne" I started laughing my ass off.

I can’t imagine only having 3 DI’s. We had 4 and at one point 5 because our kill hat was in and out of medical during phase 2 .
