Once again Thanks Fitzee!! The tips were great, and right on par with work on my project (matching qtr panel gaps to deck lid & rear panel) Many times I find myself in a jam wondering how to correct something, I can always find the answer watching your videos!
Its hard to believe but there are actual you tube shows that are showing how to do what you are un doing. Nice to see you wearing hearing protection /dust mask and using an exhaust fan. Well done . Cheers from Edmonton
You have mad skills and an awesome eye for details. I think Discovery should have hired you instead of the other all drama shows. I learned way more from you. 😊😊😊
I think Tony is right where he belongs. If he had a show on discovery Tony would loose creative control of the show. As it is now Tony can work on what makes sense to him plus he has merch for sale. If you really want to support the channel buy merch or share with a friend or on whatever social media platform your on.
I know what you are saying but Tony would be much better off just having more subscribers then he would still have full control over himself. I try to spread the word for his channel when ever I can. I really don't think there is a better body work channel on the net.
They’d make do it differently on here he can do it his way which is by far the best for me personally to learn it’s said he’s talking to us separately with full explanations
@@ma61king I started watching Bad Chad but got tired of the odd behavior pretty quick. Yes Jolene is attractive but we don't need to hear about it every five minutes.
A lot of grinding, cutting, reshaping, exellent use of coat hanger for gap filler work. The coat hanger thing really comes in handy, will have to stop at thrift store to pick up some. A lot of metal fab work without any specialty tools. You are an exellent teacher.
I learn something new every show. I have used coathangers as fillers since 1976. They work good on exaust gas welding too. But I love the way you closed the side seams. Can’t wait to see you rework the front.
Hey Fitzee. All I can say about that whatever you would call it that they did to that Poor Hood is more than wrong, it's a Sin. They smashed it's beautiful nose in. And that's just the worst atrocity. But I know you'll do your best which is a lot, and make it look as good as it possibly can. You do immaculate work. I use your name as a comparison word all the time when I'm watching other builders/Fabricators. I say like he's Fitzeeing the hell out of that, or he needs to get to it and Fitzeefy that. But however I say it it's always a compliment to you. Keep on Fabbin Fitzee. Peace and be blessed.
I really like your videos and I have learned a lot for my projects. One thing I've noticed though is you say, "this here," "over here", "here now", a lot. Just my thoughts.
There isn't enough lead in Galena to fill that as it came in! Someone had the vision. Just not the skill. Pretty ambitious project. I love seeing the difference in philosophy between you fixing this stuff and my neighbor (House of Pain) doing it. Totally different ways to do it. In the end, result. Both of you been doing it for decades. He's a gas and Tig welder. You do Mig. He's more of a metalshaper. You are far faster to result.
Hmmm...I kinda liked the 56 Chev headlight "eyebrows" I like them on the early 50s pickups as well. BUT!...Just my 2 cents worth. Rock-on Brother. Let the instruction begin.
Hey, I love your show. I watch it all the time I’ve learned a lot from you. I’m just about to tackle my 1972 Torino just like the one in the movie. Very lucky to have it but you have mentioned in videos even if you have a full quarter panel if you don’t need it don’t use it just cut it and use the sections that you need. Would you figure to be the best practice? Thank you very much.
Tony, those headlight caps aren't from a '56. The fender of the '56 rolls over the top and the trim is recessed. I own one and have for years. I have a spare fender also which is in better shape than my semi original. The trim is definitely '56 but that cap looks like a home brew of some sort.
Haven't used it in years. When I used it it would cause problems with the welds. Sometimes it would not penatrate. There's a gold brand I see some youtubers using. Be interesting to see what that's like
I've used a copper based weld through primer, and it seems to be holding up performance wise quite well. Have not had any issues with penetration......so far. Great video once again Fitzee, and as mentioned above in the comments, I would work for free in your shop hoping some of your talent would rub off. Cheers from Campbell River, BC.
Another awesome video Tony the attention to detail that makes it look like it should have come from the factory that way 👍. I can only imagine how many hours you have into this car . Was this car by chance a high school shop project before this owner got it , there looks to be a lot of things that looks like people were learning to do on this car and didn’t quite get them right lol
@@tonyrandazzoe8210 - yes. It's one thing to do custom work and repairs on standard panels, quite another fixing and reinventing custom panels and fitments after the 'Butcher Gremilins' have had their wicked way with the panels and fitments. Great work shared. Thank you again, Tony.
I just want to know why people give Bad Chad a hard time for using hangars, but not you. I personally have run out of hangars, and don’t get a lot of dry cleaning done, so i use welding rod that i buy for that specific purpose.
Looks like whoever it was that originally did the car was drinking a few tooo many cold snacks while doing what they did. And after so long they just said "awe good enough for filler. Hahaha
FYI, the next time you get a car with that much body filler. Take a butane torch and heat I the filler (Bondo) and you can scrap it off and save yourself a lot of clean up.
I tried that years ago. Works on thin filler but the thick stuff takes alot more to get off. Hoe I took it off is the fastest way I found over my 30 plus years slinging sod
The owner of that car must have some sentimental value in that car because he could find another one in better condition and run with it. Vavavoom might have parts for it if you need them ask halfass customs for his number.
I couldn’t imagine having to be the one who had to fix this abortion of a car. I hope you charge accordingly for your hours cause you’re gonna have a pile of time into this thing. Can’t wait to see you tackle the rest of that front end, I can’t believe the last builder called that good enough. That cobbled up jigsaw puzzle of a front piece that you cut off to start with just made me giggle, what were they thinking? 🤣
Hi Tony, I've told you in the past that I learned to weld watching you and how to tackle an issue. THANK YOU for your instructions and insight. I've been fixing my junkyard rust bucket 39 Ford Panel using what I learn from you. I've been at it about a year now and getting close to finishing the rough first body work so I can at least drive it. Still has a long way to go, but I'm going to drive it in the spring. Without your help, I could not have gotten to where I am. It isn't show quality, but it's going to be a driver. I've seen all your videos for the last few years and have learned so much. Again, THANK YOU for all you do. See you in the next one. Bob in Idaho
Fitzee, I wish you lived much closer to me. I would come work for you for free just to learn a smidgen of what you know. You are a MASTER of your craft Sir!! Thank you for sharing with us!! Teenagers in your area should be lined up outside of your door just to try and come in to attempt to gain some of your knowledge. By the way, we don't mind the long videos at all!
Music in the video is not necessary after all we've come here to learn and watch a Metal Magician at work not a music video. PS Your Tips are always great and appreciated thank you.
People watched Bob Ross and then went and tried to paint This car is proof the same thing has apparently happened with you someone watched you do metal work and then went and tried it
Just don't understand all the Bitching about using coat hangers as filler. It's metal wire, and basically free if you know someone that has uniform service for work. I used to and used many a hanger for patch work using Oxy/Acet torch set. Rather use coat hanger(s) than fill it in with plastic filler.
Hi Tony. From a distance, that car didn't look that bad. Your repair work is beautiful. You can't even tell there was repair. We should call you "The metal whisperer"!
Hello from Saint John New Brunswick. You are truly gifted ...To even consider taking on someone elses nightmare repairs is a true craftsman. My hat is off to you..
Master FITZEE ! You make anything you do look easy ! I've said before your motions are fluid an effort less. I finally remembered to ask you who is the artist tht does your music intro, an throughout video I gotta say music fits ! Great vid as usual an Keep Em Coming !
What a mess ... looks like you conquered it so far ... just wondering if you are going to do any filler work when done with the metal work or is that someone elses problem ... nice work ...
I used a few and find they are much the same. Goes on white, turns purple then black. Seems to work good. Was looking a a job I did 15 years ago and it still holding up great
Just a question, wouldn't it have been better to fix the radiator support and height of the fenders first so it doesn't throw off all your work on the hood?
More amazing metalwork and brilliant video editing too. One of your very best so far. Thank you Tony
There are craftsman and there are artist who care about their work . God love ya brother

What come first the coat hanger or the welding rod 😂😂
Made me laugh I resemble that remark
There seems to be a lotof surface rust underneath and inside that hood. How are you going to fix that? Give it a bath in some rust-converter fluid?
Most likely yes
Has this Chev had a hard hit in the front as why else would all the panels be so out?
No it's how they were installed is what made them so far out of wack
