My siam tulips from the spring have all died and came back with new flowers. I plant them in the shade since the sun here in Thailand is so hot. We are in the rainy season now, so the humidity keeps the plants happy. Thank you for this good information.
Thank you so much. I just received some bulbs today after seeing my mom's bloom this spring. I live in north west Florida, zone 9, so I'm going to try. I've had really good luck with other ginger types of bulbs (the pinecone ginger plant does very well here). ❤ P.s. new sub. 🌼 🌸 🌻 🌹 🏵
Siam tulips are totally carefree in the right climate. I believe in your area it should thrive without much fuss. Good luck...and thanks for subscribing 🙂
Hello. I got this plant nearly two weeks ago and it already came with 3 bloom stems. But now 2 of the blooms are having wilted bracts and I am very worried. But I am already seeing a new tiny pink bud sprouting near the soil. Could you please answer a few questions? How long do the blooms last on the plant? Is it normal for them to wilt after like 2 weeks? I placed it beside the south facing window with a sheer curtain. What can I do to improve the lifespan of the blooms on the plant? Thank you very much!
It's totally normal for the blooms to wilt away after experiencing a change in growing conditions. As of now you can't do much as they only flower once a year. You have to wait for next year's blooms. In the mean time provide proper care for the plant so that you can expect better long lasting blooms next year. They appreciate semi shade. So see if the current conditions gives you healthy green leaves. If not, try out a milder or harsher spot in your garden in terms of light to find it's ideal location.
Can you give a presentation on how to fully propagate them. I really would love some of your details & visuals on exactly how it is done. THANK YOU for your great information… I can’t wait to see more.
That's quite natural.. Mine also does that. I usually don't bother much about it..You could just give it a shake and remove the water when ever you observe it. Or just leave it be..
I totally understand your confusion. Simply put, they can take full sun but prefers bright shade. Either way you will get them to bloom. But to much shade is also not good.

They are really beautiful plants.. And kind of care free once established 🙂

Can you have them in you're home at a big window with late afternoon sun
I grow them in full sun. But i think it will be ok if the light is strong enough indoors.
Do they produce seeds , or is propagation by rhizome only?
Rhizomes..

The water collected in the flowers seems to be rotting them. What do I do about this?

Some info says full sun and others say no direct sun.

Price please?
Sorry... Just my personal collection... Not for sale
I just got a couple of these plants from Walmart. They were $9.88 each.
That's cool.. Here in India we rarely see plants for sale in general stores and supermarkets... We have to visit nurseries for plants...
@@kdalton7730 wow.. they are only 33 cents here in Thailand.... export rates must be high to USA.
