Okay, that beer store.... did that SERIOUSLY have a MAC sign FOR A MAC MACHINE?!?!?! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!?! Talk about taking me back 30 years with that blast from the past!!! I thought all those signs were gone. Leave it to New Castle! Also, that mall layout was quirky. Big building inside the walkway... only thing I figure was they built to Please for newer places that went into it at one time before they closed. Another great video!
I remember going to Sears there, it was where Family Dollar is. Sears had that end of the mall and if I remember correctly GC Murphy had the other end. Town Mall Pizza has been there for a long time and Hallmark was in there. They still have some events there from time to time.
I ain't got no problem with any camera's you use,if you enjoy what you are doing and love doing it than use whatever camera's you love the most. And with what I have seen you love all of them equally so enjoy yourself and have a good time.
Love the fountain, nice 1970's asthetic ! It reminds me of the demolished Richmond Town Square / Richmond Square Mall. I love when you have used the 'older' cameras,!!!!!
That's amazing, even if the footage is lower quality than your other Handycam, it creates a true sense of watching a 20+ years old video, specially in a place like this. The color tones and ambience sound creates an unique atmosphere, hardly possible with modern equipment unless you're a video post-processing master.
It's not quite dead yet. My husband & I both work in that little corner store, Slim Pickins. It's a used furniture store that all profits from store go to fund the Game Changer place at the end, it has The Village sign up top. Our boss runs that for local kids, mentoring program, where kids go for tutoring, GED, they do paintings, play games, learn musical instruments, & the place where that is, used to be a bank, they have a recording studio in the old bank vault, where the kids can record music & even do podcasts. You really should come back & check it out.
Several times a year they have vendors and people with small businesses set up in the store fronts for several days. You are able to shop their products.
An awesome video, Wallie! 👍👍👍👍👍 Your vintage camcorders that you bought have excellent video quality when you're filming with them. The audio is excellent as well. I really like water fountain.
Every mall I have been to has closed down or barely have stores in them. People can't afford to go to the malls these days cost of living is terrible and people can't afford costly stuff from the malls. 😢
I'm not entirely sure but I do know it's been here a very long time. So, it's quite possible. Some of my friends that grew up and live in the areas in and surrounding New Castle would know.
That camera does a good job it has a good zoom too it does a nice job filming but the refresh rate is not that great when you turn left or right but not bad tho...dvd was the way to go other than my HDD camcorder/hard drive camcorder you need to look for one thoes i have 2 different JVC's one is older one is a Hybrid it films better than a gopro or a cellphone..
Love that fountain.

I love this mall so much. It’s my favorite dead mall. I love the aesthetics!

Before it was Cascade Galleria it was known as the Towne Mall and yes the fountain has always been there and I believe it is the original fountain.

Wallie… please do a separate video of just the fountain sounds for an elongated time frame 🙏🏼 Very relaxing… ASMR😌
Will do!
The Pizza 🍕 place looks delicious 😋
Nice one ! Indeed, this has strong Signal Hill Mall vibes. (Only better maintained)
Several times a year they have vendors and people with small businesses set up in the store fronts for several days. You are able to shop their products.
The audio changes when I flip my phone lol. Good video bro
That's strange. Thank you!

Awesome video wallieb
Nice vidieo
It’s almost like this place can be the new “closer to Wallie” Signal Hill… except without risking respiratory sickness from millions of mold spores!
😆 The Bankers hours at the workers compensation office 8-5 .
this makes me wanna use my jvc 100hd over the shoulder tv camera to film stuff

Is that the original fountain

Next time you get a chance to go here stop at the post office or the town mall pizza and ask about all the events
Do a video of you visiting a abandoned Burger King in Lincoln Nebraska
I can see it clearly
How is this still open with no stores?
1st
What year was it built maybe 1970s?
It’s almost as if the only purpose of that building is the water fountain 😅😂😂
