Thanks for the comment Tammy! The piece that wraps around is about 1/4 inches wide and about 18 inches long. I have made smaller tassels. There is no set measurement. It's all about the overall look. Good luck with your project!

Hi Ashley! Yes, you can use faux leather if you want. The spatula is simply a thin plastic spatula. I can't remember where I got it, but I would check crafts stores or hardware store's paint department. Thanks for your feedback!
