Obviously, it is or was considered a geeky thing (collecting trading cards) but with the 1st editions being sold and only a limited amount left, even the idea that Hecz was talking about (the last Charizard ever pulled) is historical. I guess the concept is collector's items, in general, and that the value they hold coming from nostalgia and scarce quantity, but the streams and auctioning packs is just really fun to witness

Now we have single players making more on salary than the whole prize pool of an event in 2010. The growth isnt stopping any time soon, I'm excited to see where it goes.

Manchester City Centre in the UK was INSANE when Pokemon Go was released. Literally thousands of people from every type of crowd and personality were united together, playing and loving the same game. We couldn't even get on the game at most times due to the servers being overwhelmed!
Formal, I remember going to Long Beach during that time and I remember there being way more than 6k people at 12 mindnight lol wayyyyy more bro no joke! and also I went went to Santa Monica Pier a few times at Midnight and it was wild! Definitely an event that brought everyone out of their homes and the vibe was dope! everyone was friendly and helping each other.
One thing that’s important to note when talking about the difficulty of games back in the day as opposed to now is the fact that they were 8 years old on the N64 and theyre now 23-28 year old men, of course your understanding of how to beat a game are going to be better.
