    I've started doing this to our front yard flower bed after hundreds of $$ spent on plants that just die. I dint think about spraying with UV protectant to prevent fading.

    Looks so realistic. You can put some small rocks in the bottom to weight the pots as well.

    Fabulous! Too bad the sellers don't inform buyers of the need for poly spray. Most of the reviews complain of fading.
    I live on The Big Island with 120" of rain and tons of hot sun too. I try to mostly "plant" in the shade, but the sun areas are holding up well. I still need to figure out how often to spray them?? Once a month, twice a year? Any suggestions?🤔🏝

    How do these artificial plants hold up to getting wet from the rain? I'd love to do something like this in the window boxes.

    • @Afloral
      @Afloral  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Shelby! These plants hold up for a few seasons in sunlight + normal rain and wind. We always recommend giving them a good coating of UV protectant spray which helps to keep the color from fading.

      @@Afloral the floral spray is ridiculously expensive. And the polyurethane spray is up to $6 a can from $3. I was using theMatte, but found out the gloss doesn't make them shine much and is even stronger. Even the hydrangeas feel as hard as cardboard... it works great without spending any more money than I have to!🥰

    Hi there, do you not worry about the pots filling with water? I want to do some very large ones around my pool and don’t want them filling up with water but also don’t want to put a hole in the planter because I don’t want the mulch water draining out the bottom and staining the pool decking. Wondering if I should seal it off somehow? Thoughts?

    • @Afloral
      @Afloral  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Rabiale! We'd suggest using a saucer below your planters. This will allow the water to drain out and not stain your pool deck.

    • @Afloral
      @Afloral  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi there! We recommend you place your artificial outdoor flowers out of direct sunlight (a shaded porch is perfect). We also recommend spraying them with a UV protectant spray which you can find online or at your local craft store.

      - Fluff and shape each stem to give it a natural curve.
