안녕하세요 30살 남성 아미입니다.. 2틀전인 2월26일날 저희 아버지가 세상을 떠나셨습니다.. 아버지를 보내드리는 모든 과정을 지금집에와서 생각하니 또 울거같습니다 한창 20대초반부터 방탄소년단의 노래를 자주듣고 위로도 되곤했는데 부모님이 떠난 오늘 이 노래를 들으니 참 생각이 많이 깊어지는거같습니다 저희 아버지도 방탄소년단을 좋아하셨고 제일 좋아하는 멤버가 누구냐고 물어보니 다 좋지만 태형씨 였습니다 여쭤보니 저의 이름에 한 글자가 형한글자가 비슷하게 들어가있고 태형씨도 태 "형" 씨의 부분이 있어서 먼가 좋은거같다 하시더랍니다. 뭐 외모는 말이 필요없으실정도로 총명하게 바르게 자란 청년 같다고 마음에 든다고하셨습니다. 지금도 글을 쓰면서 이 노래를 들으니 눈물이 날거같고 가사를 하나하나 다시 곱씹으니 정말 잘만든 곡이라는걸 다시 한번 느끼네요. 훌륭한 곡을 만들어줘서 감사합니다.

'왜 자꾸만 감추려고만 해 니 가면 속으로' 자기 혐오를 끝도 없이 하며 스스로 깎아내리고 계속 타인과 비교하며 외모에 대해서도 자신감 없이 바닥난 자존감으로 고개를 떨구고 다니는 제 자신이 너무 답답하고 싫어서 들었는데 가사 하나하나 특히 저 위 가사가 맘에 많이 와닿아요. 지금 당장은 그렇지 못하겠지만 지금부터라도 조금씩 변해서 나중엔 당당하게 가사처럼 나 자신을 사랑할 수 있길 간절히 바라요.
어릴적의 내가 항상 떠오르는 노래... 모두가 조용한 새벽에 많이 울고 많이 자책하고 우울할때 정말 많이 들었던 노랜데... 새삼 지금 다시 들어보니 그때의 향기가 떠오르는 것 같네요.그때는 내 자신을 정말 남보다 못 하게 생각하고 싫어했지만 방탄소년단의 노래,그리고 메세지를 통해 나 자신을 사랑하는 법을 천천히 배워가고 있습니다. 노래는 정말 많은 힘이 있는 것 같아요. 혼자였던 나를 우리로 만들어 주고, 숨이 막혀 눈이 돌아가던 상황속에서도,그 무엇의 방법도 통하지 않던 상황에서도 이 노래를 듣고 5분만에 괜찮아졌었거든요. 방탄소년단의 노래는 제가 한번 살아보는 것도 나쁘지 않겠다고.지금 이 시간도 청춘이라고 느끼게 해 준 노래에요

I am a 49-year-old BTS fan. I been a fan since I saw them give a speech at the United Nations. ‘Love Myself’ was the first song I heard when I looked up their music on youtube. There is something about this song that is almost spiritual. When I went to Kenya (East Africa) for a holiday, I came to know a local Shaman, who is deeply spiritually and a psychic medium. I asked her to listen ‘Love Myself’ from my cellphone and tell me about the singers. She had no idea about BTS, their music or Korean language but after few lines, she nodded and said the singers have been brought together by the universe, and they have a purpose that they may not be aware of. Their connection was already decided by the universe she said. If this is true, then I am not surprised that this song and others has helped many young people to overcome problems. If this song has saved one life, then BTS have accomplished their purpose. My wish is to see them live in concert when they reschedule their Toronto concert date once covid-19 is over, or under control. Until then I will hold on the tickets.

so I'm sure no one really cares, but I cannot explain how much this song has helped me. I suffer from bipolar disorder, severe depression, and self harm. there are times where I hate myself so much I want to die, but this song makes me realize that I am still worth living. bts has honestly saved my life. the day before this album dropped I was in a psych hospital for suicidal ideation, and I had planned on killing myself when I got out, but this album has reminded me to keep going. I hate that people call them overrated while BTS are nothing like other artists. They use their fame to spread such amazing messages instead of just basking in money and fame or something. They remain humble kings and they work so hard just for ARMY to be happy. If they didn't work as hard as they did, not many people would know who they were and they would've flopped, but they didn't. This group of seven working boys, a family of brothers, worked their asses off from even before day one. They made it despite so many obstacles. BTS also isn't "for kids". So many fans of them (probably more than half) are over the age of 20. Also, what some haters don't realize is how the messages that this group has put out and spread to the world has saved so many lives, including my own. I've heard so many heartbreaking stories from ARMYs, but then other ARMYs spread their love alongside the work BTS has done to help them. I know I haven't been an ARMY long, but I've been a fan long enough to know that this group is not like others and that they will go down in history as one of the greatest groups of all time. I love BTS so much and I hate that at my school that hardly anyone even likes KPOP in general and you can easily get made fun of for being a fan there. BTS has saved me from depression and I've been feeling better in my life than I have in a long time. Thank you, BTS, and thank you ARMY! I purple you! :)

my parents don't care about me my mom hate's me my brother hurts me and my dad, I don't have a dad, I only have a stepdad (he's working at the other country) and my BFF doesn't care about me now, she always ignoring me and one day my mom said to me that "you're so thin, your ugly and no one loves you" and she pulled my hair and slapped me, I wanted to cry in front of her but I can't, because if I cry, she will just hurt me and then I cut myself and I always wear a hoodie and I go to my bed and I look at the mirror and said that "mom was right, no one love's me I'm ugly! You know what means so much to me when it comes to this song? The fact that they're singing "I'm learning how to love myself" instead of "I love myself". It makes me feel at ease with the fact that you may not always actually fully love yourself, but as long as you know you should and as long as you're trying, you're doing great and you should feel proud of yourself.
I also like how they're not as "perfect" as they seem, since they are humans too just like us and may have difficulties in loving themselves by saying "I'm LEARNING how to love myself" :)

안녕하세요 30살 남성 아미입니다.. 2틀전인 2월26일날 저희 아버지가 세상을 떠나셨습니다.. 아버지를 보내드리는 모든 과정을 지금집에와서 생각하니 또 울거같습니다
한창 20대초반부터 방탄소년단의 노래를 자주듣고 위로도 되곤했는데 부모님이 떠난 오늘 이 노래를 들으니 참 생각이 많이 깊어지는거같습니다 저희 아버지도 방탄소년단을 좋아하셨고
제일 좋아하는 멤버가 누구냐고 물어보니 다 좋지만 태형씨 였습니다 여쭤보니 저의 이름에 한 글자가 형한글자가 비슷하게 들어가있고 태형씨도 태 "형" 씨의 부분이 있어서 먼가 좋은거같다 하시더랍니다. 뭐 외모는 말이 필요없으실정도로 총명하게 바르게 자란 청년 같다고 마음에 든다고하셨습니다. 지금도 글을 쓰면서 이 노래를 들으니 눈물이 날거같고 가사를 하나하나 다시 곱씹으니 정말 잘만든 곡이라는걸 다시 한번 느끼네요. 훌륭한 곡을 만들어줘서 감사합니다.

I am a 49-year-old BTS fan. I been a fan since I saw them give a speech at the United Nations. ‘Love Myself’ was the first song I heard when I looked up their music on youtube. There is something about this song that is almost spiritual.
When I went to Kenya (East Africa) for a holiday, I came to know a local Shaman, who is deeply spiritually and a psychic medium. I asked her to listen ‘Love Myself’ from my cellphone and tell me about the singers. She had no idea about BTS, their music or Korean language but after few lines, she nodded and said the singers have been brought together by the universe, and they have a purpose that they may not be aware of. Their connection was already decided by the universe she said. If this is true, then I am not surprised that this song and others has helped many young people to overcome problems. If this song has saved one life, then BTS have accomplished their purpose. My wish is to see them live in concert when they reschedule their Toronto concert date once covid-19 is over, or under control. Until then I will hold on the tickets.

I suffer from bipolar disorder, severe depression, and self harm. there are times where I hate myself so much I want to die, but this song makes me realize that I am still worth living. bts has honestly saved my life. the day before this album dropped I was in a psych hospital for suicidal ideation, and I had planned on killing myself when I got out, but this album has reminded me to keep going. I will never be able to express the gratitude I have for everything bts has done for me.

I hate that people call them overrated while BTS are nothing like other artists. They use their fame to spread such amazing messages instead of just basking in money and fame or something. They remain humble kings and they work so hard just for ARMY to be happy. If they didn't work as hard as they did, not many people would know who they were and they would've flopped, but they didn't. This group of seven working boys, a family of brothers, worked their asses off from even before day one. They made it despite so many obstacles.
BTS also isn't "for kids". So many fans of them (probably more than half) are over the age of 20. Also, what some haters don't realize is how the messages that this group has put out and spread to the world has saved so many lives, including my own. I've heard so many heartbreaking stories from ARMYs, but then other ARMYs spread their love alongside the work BTS has done to help them.
I know I haven't been an ARMY long, but I've been a fan long enough to know that this group is not like others and that they will go down in history as one of the greatest groups of all time. I love BTS so much and I hate that at my school that hardly anyone even likes KPOP in general and you can easily get made fun of for being a fan there. BTS has saved me from depression and I've been feeling better in my life than I have in a long time.

I’m not an Army, but I have so much respect for BTS. They’re a special ICON that will forever be remembered in the K-pop world. You know what means so much to me when it comes to this song? The fact that they're singing "I'm learning how to love myself" instead of "I love myself". It makes me feel at ease with the fact that you may not always actually fully love yourself, but as long as you know you should and as long as you're trying, you're doing great and you should feel proud of yourself.
