You commented that "one needs the existing combination to change to a new combination". Is that correct? Perhaps you meant: for a closed and locked box, one needs the the existing combination in order to get the "door" of the box open? If the door box already open, one can easily reset the combination. My box was open, but I had forgotten the combination. I followed you directions for resetting, and it worked perfectly. Thank you.
Worked like a charm. Suggestion though: to get the plastic piece off the back just slide it out "sideways" either direction. No need to pry it up with a knife.

Weird thing about these is that the "code" doesn't really matter, just do all the digits you choose in any order and the lock opens.
Some math nerd might be able to calculate the actual best number of digits to use for these, because a savvy thief would know they have decent odds to brute force their way thru.

Thank you so much this really helped. I struggled to see the arrows to say if its on or off. One the back where the screws are it will show which one is off and which one is off but the arrow doesnt stand out so you have to really look

The order of numbers can work any way you want. so if you decide you want your combo to be 1234 someone can get in by pushing 3124 or 4321 etc...It's just the nubmers themselves, not the order.

The order does not matter. To set more numbers just program more toggles with the screwdriver.

I have just bought a new house and the exact same key safe is on the wall, the previous owner had passed away and I do not have the key safe combination, It is in a prominent place and I would either like to remove it without destroying the brickwork or find some way of opening it, please could you suggest anything, I would be very grateful.
I'm in the same position as you. Bought a house with one of the side. No relative knows the combo. Do I take a sledge hammer to it? Don't fancy damaging the brickwork either
I would get a grinder and cut the face off, if you can get the face off then it’ll reveal the inside shell and mounting screws

Yea, that was annoying. He should have mentioned multiple digit combos don't have a specific order, they just need to be pressed so all numbers that are turned to "On" just need to be pressed.

Maybe you should have shown how to program a combination of numbers. Nine doesn’t really represent a secure combo.
The number sequence doesn’t matter. For example, if you set the code as 1234, then any sequence of those numbers would also work - I.e., 2341 or 4213. In fact, so would 1122334. Any sequence of those digits. The most secure codes would have 5 or 6 distinct numerals in the sequence. A 4 digit code would be almost as secure and a lot faster to input.

Over 5 minutes of pointless waffling and you don't even explain how to set a code combination.
Too simple a product for codes. Either on or off. Code 1-2-2 would open it, but so would 3-2-1, 2-1-3, etc.
Waste of time . How do you set it for a 4 digit code?

Look closely at the set screws, there is an arrow just hard to see.
This did not explain how to set the ORDER of a combination.
The order is irrelevant. If you set it as 1234, you can unlock by pressing those digits in any order

@@justicemoody Well, it really isn’t great, so I worked out the number of combinations of using 3,4,5,6 or 7 digits. I came up with 110.
