@@canman5060 The queue for getting into public housing is still extremely long, despite as you said "when everybody is leaving", can take several years to 10 years for the applications to be successfully assigned. Of course, this is not the case for ultra rich families, they can easily find accommodations meeting their budget.
@@canman5060 That's not entirely true. "Affordable" housing is still in shortage despite the exodus. However, for the newly migrants from mainland, that is not the case, they can be admitted a lot faster into public housing than the local HKers.
