@@tlig , yeah it's odd that the count is never mentioned. Coyle's count did seem a little on the quick side, which is one thing, but compounded by the fact that he was too focussed on the timekeeper rather than Benn. He wasn't looking at Benn when he was counting and hadn't even looked back at him when he waved it off - if he had, he'd have seen that Benn was up. For what it's worth I think Benn had shot his bolt anyway and the end would have come soon after, but I've seen big protests over less.
@@simonnoble7589 your maturity and objectivity on the simple matter of fact has obviously proven too much to process. Truculence is a sad indictment of an individual struggling to understand and keep up. I salute your gallant but yet spurious effort to reproach whilst spotlighting your ignorance of fact and history……be happy 😃
After Reg Gutterige mentioned he'd been watching Watson since the national association of boy's clubs and former world champion Jim Watt constantly calling the fight for Watson ahead of viewers' interpretations?
I agree, MC Callum damaged Watson, who was a very talented boxer. I suspect the medical before the eubank fight was " not very thorough. Shall we say!!!
Benn's fighting style exposed him too much, as he relied on punching power with mediocre defense. This knockout was not just by way a jab, the previous left hook had stunned him and the jab finished him.
Not long after this fight Mike McCallum schools Watson. My point being is that Benn was never a great fighter. Always hand picked or fighters past their prime or who ballooned up to 220 (Barkley) and then wants to fight them. A healthy McClellan, Toney, McCallum, Nunn,Hagler, Hearns and sooo many others beat Benn by k.o. Benn was a class B fighter his whole career, who did he beat? Oh Yeah Doug DeWitt. Lol
@@PJP812 some people say that after losing to watson or after losing to eubank, nigel benn improved, but i don't know, i'm not an expert, i'm just a spectator.
Benn was a fighter, not a boxer. Not everyone is a slick, counter puncher boxer. Benn was tremendous, he had huge power, aggressive, heart and always willing to scrap. That was his style and he was very effective.
The referee didn't call break once !!!
Incredible fight that is never spoken about.
True. No low blows, head clashes or anything. A proper hard fought but clean scrap.
Very quick count at the end though. I know Benn didn't complain but he had every right to, in my opinion.

"The stars are out, there's Michelle from Eastenders"😂🤣
Great fight from two legends of the game, the back and forth action at such a pace is unreal.
Nigel is perfection in motion 👌
Downwards?

Господи помилуй! Весëлый выход, шоу,! Посмотрим, как в ринге будет?
What a fight two warriors always thought watson had the edge on his British counterparts inc eubank
Great era for british middleweights
I love Nigel, unique in all sense
Respect to MichEl Watson he was one of our best middleweight boxers we ever had
He gave him a get down there jab!
Even the REF is enjoying this one !
Its like a video game from the late 80,s
Great fight
Я грешник думаю, Бенн ошибся, пренебрегая защитой! Сказалось количество пропущенных ударов, упал от джеба! Спасибо!
Another example of British commentators basing their expertise on what is written in the press

Was that a quick count? Seemed like a count of about 6?
Уотсон, матëрый жук! Вроде Бенн его уже забивает, но, у Майкла рукавицы на месте, все атаки Найджела, он видит!

What's Benn's entrance music?
A song called Dangerous
Dangerous by Barrington Levy.
Conroy Smith - Dangerous on Redman International label, helped make this an all time classic ring entrance by Benn
Maybe his dreadlock hit him in the eye, awww

I agree. I have massive respect for how he fought to get his, but in the grand scheme wasn’t elite. World level though
A set up
Benns vera was always dodgie...

McClellan was healthy until he fought Benn.
rope a dope.
Benn couldn’t box for shit but he was entertaining
Benn was a great fighter , not technically but very exciting as he was a brawler , he just loved a scrap 💯
