Just a short video (sorry!) to celebrate XH’s album that came out a couple weeks ago! What’s your favourite song(s) on the album? I know everyone says “OMG AOTY” every time their faves drop a new album, but in all unbiased truthfulness, “troubleshooting” is the best release this year so far imo (probably one of my favourite albums, in general, of the past five years I've been a Korean music fan - big accolades ik). It’s heavier than a lot of their older stuff, and they pulled back on **some** of the “techno”-ish aspects of their past mini albums that reflected their visual aesthetic. So if you were disinterested in their other music because you crave rock with more grit and punchiness (without sacrificing their already great vocal melodies), then I highly recommend giving troubleshooting a chance! I think Gunil and Junhan specifically really shined on this album! Looking into the future, I think that their next era could be a good chance to hone in on the sort of overhanging mellowness of “little things” and try a more alternative sound. Bringing back those little technological snippets reflective of their computerized sci-fi-ish concept could even lead them into their own ‘OK Computer’ (Radiohead) era, which I think would be so cool! Really looking forward to see where else they go as a band! My favourite songs are “No Matter” and “Walking to the Moon”
No Matter is amazing and Junhan saying "don't let me be a good boy" TOOK ME TF OUT AND SHOOK ME TO MY CORE. And I have to say that Money on my Mind is my favorite because we FINALLY got a proper rock solo from Junhan (that was kinda split into two parts) and his screaming line after the first part was SO AAAAAAAAAA. AND his outfit during the instrumental sampler was 😍
