I hope they do a quad with bright green, bright blue, and bright purple, and then a high foil multichrome. I like the liners. I would have to do long liner looks like your second look. Also, I have planned multiple seasonal looks for every season for your bookshelves for you 🤣
Thank you so much for your honest thoughts on the collection, esp the eyeliners!! As someone with the same eye type as yours I appreciate it bc I was considering getting those but had the concerns you mentioned. Also I wouldn't mind seeing a tutorial on how you do your hair with those ponys. If it's easy enough I might consider getting some myself
i have them and i much prefer to use them on its own, in other words they are absolutely amazing without any eyeshadows or anything else on the eye and my lord the shift of colours are incredible many of my friends bought these just bc on how they looked on me , they are exactly what i wanted them to be
Dang. I have the Sugar Drizzle multichrome liners, and man was I disappointed in those.. I was hoping these would be better. 😞. But, saves me money! 😆.
Yeah I had a feeling they wouldn’t work. Multichrome pigment works better over a large area. I’m so glad I never wasted my money on the hype because people did nice swatches.
I love the ponytail and would love to see a video about your collection and how you install them. I know Betty Jean gets this brand too. Thanks for the review. You are saving me from buying the liners
Not really feeling any sense of urgency to pick these up. I could see myself adding the taupe palette to a future order if they come out with something interesting, but the last collection they did that felt special to me was Flowerpunk. Maybe they're trying to expand their audience with safer colors? I'd rather see more of the colorful 6-pan palettes than this.
Yes the 6 pans were great and you can do so much more with them, I feel like with quads there's only so much you can do so unless they're all really special shades I don't see the point in them.
These are my thoughts on the eyeliners exactly! 🙃On the first reveal I was SO excited, especially seeing I wear eye pencils daily, but then I saw the swatches and realised that that duochrome shift is really only showing up in a very specific lighting - also I was very disappointed there was no sharpener on the back - I get so tired of using the razor method. I. however, ended up really drooling on the purple palette, because cool purple is my favourite colour ever (the one you used on the lower lid) and I can picture myself using these eyeshadows a lot as a companion palette for my multicoloured ones.
@@chaoswitch1974 Do you mean the liners? I've seen a lot of swatches online, and you can see them well, they are pigmented, but in most lightings you can't see the shift, so you just see them as vibrant metallic eyeliners. They will also look that way irl and only show the shift at an extreme angle.
@@themirrorbeauty I've seen a bunch of videos and pictures. I ordered the tourmaline, seven seas and night of creation, the flowing Haze palette with the activator and a build your own lip clay tin so I'll see soon enough for myself! Multiple and duochrome shifts never look as good through cameras as they do in person.
Yes please to a video with your ponytail collection and tutorial of how u put them on Annette X I love these on u and I would like to give them a try myself x love Alli and Bella XXX
I love purple so I'm def going to get both, they will be great travel palettes. I have to decide what liners i want, maybe one multi and the metallic blue
I love purple palettes, but I'm cautious about getting this one. I love to travel with quads, and Kaleidos stuff isn't pressed very hard, so it tends to crumble when you travel with it. (And I agree with other posters--I would have loved to see a pop of green or turquoise rather than the mid-toned purple matte.)

Originally Astro pink was my favorite. I live for that silvery icey pink it’s SO metalic but I have to give it to club nebula. Club nebula is my favorite palette over all. I picked up a Angie’s collab with Odins eye too and I love it. Goes great with flower punk. I have almost all their palettes and I love them all. I also love their lippies they are the most comfortable lippies I’ve ever tried. I definitely want this collection for my collection. For me kaleidos is an automatic purchase although I did not pick up the last collection just due to not needing those shades.
I would love a video about the colorful ponytails! I am about to get pregnant, so I phased myself out of blue dye in the last year, but I reeeeeally miss having color!
I would love to see your pony collection & how you put them in. I'm still waiting for a better collection before I buy from Kaleidos again. My 1st & only order was Cluny Nebula & I also got Escape Pod, Mars Melter, & the eye primer. I really want the newer neutral lip clays & maybe the neutral quads from their last release. One of the blushes might be fun to try.
Good afternoon Annette!!! Your hair looks so beautiful! Love the color! I'm in love with this collection 😍 💜💙😊 I know your looks will be super beautiful
The packaging really doesn’t make sense to me with the quads. I got excited to see some more bright colors and a pop of green or blue based on the outer packaging, but then you open them up and especially the more neutral quad just clashes with the cover in my opinion. It confuses me lol
Yes, please make a video of how your do your hair with those? I would love the colors and would be a way to get color for my hair without the color? Huh? I am also bad at hair in general and I am afraid I would t know what to do? Well you get it? 😂 ❤️
Haha yes totally get it. These will totally keep bleach off my hair for a long time lol. Ill do a video with these at some point, ive already gotten a better response than i normally do when i ask if u guys wanna see something in particular!
Idk why these companies aren’t making the multichrome liners chubbier? More like a shadow stick? I do think it would make a lot more sense. Kaleidos used to do such lovely vibrant shadow palettes!! I loved the 5 pan futurism collection the most, then Club nebula, and even the Escape pod collection! I wish they’d go back to creating more shimmers and foil shades!! Ps, your looks came out gorgeous!! And I’d love a video about your ponies!!
I love you background so much more than the backdrops. I love that you can change it up as you want but it will still feel familiar and cozy. I'd watch a video on the ponytails.
I think I'm going to pick up both of the quads but I do wish the shimmers were lighter or maybe make it a 6 shade palette and add the lighter shimmer and then a contrasting matte.
Always happy to hear your honest opinion... now im really torn on the liners.... I think if they have a good sale sometime I might pick them up but for now im holding off... as for the palettes they are cute but I want a little something more or brighter colored quads... loved the purple look the most of course it's the best quad!... that ponytail is so fun would love to know how to apply them maybe I need some lol
Very pretty guads, but I have a feeling that the colors aren't unique enough to justify buying them. I think anyone who's into colorful eyeshadow already has all those purple shades (my collection isn't that big and still I can find at least 2-3 dupes in other palettes I have for each shade). Also the grey-pink shimmer from the neutral palette reminded me a lot of Strange Love from Melt She's in parties, so even that isn't that unique at all. But these quads are definitely good for travel, as you said, or for someone who doesn't have those colors already.
I was so excited for this release and then I went through my collection and I realized that I have most of these shades and I don’t need multi chrome liners. I’m passing on this. Thank you so much for the honest review!
At this point with over 50 eyeshadow palettes in my collection, those quads are just not saying add to cart. Had they been released a couple of years ago when I had fewer things in my collection I would have definitely wanted them. I'm interested in the liners, but I'm on the fence about them. I'm curious how they compare to the sugar drizzle ones.
I’m totally getting the Flowing Haze palette, but I have a very low key makeup collection. For eyeshadow mostly some single neutral mattes and some nautral and colorful shimmers. Just got the ABH Nouveau palette. This would be a perfect ”neutral with some spice quad” for me. I’m also cool toned so 👌🏼👌🏼 I can understand why its not as exciting to some ppl as to me though. Both palettes look beautiful, but I think many ppl who like these also already have the colours in their collection and want a more interesting color story
Disagree about liners. I love that finally someone starts doing more of those, as they are very convenient for one and done looks, where you want some special colour, but don’t want to go through eyeshadow blending this and that. I owned gel pen liners for ages for these purposes, they are convenient for travel and quick make up looks. Multichrome coloured ones are super cool touch of interesting color and shifts. Thinner format is very nifty for hooded eyes, minus being though you don’t get enough product haha. I own Danessa M. ones though, so not sure about how good these are 😅
The liners look amazing on you (imo)! I just bought tourmaline, seven seas and night of creation... yeah the first two are the ones you didn't try. Though I'm loving Solaris so I might have to get it. I also got a chose your own lip clays tin and one of the quads. I don't normally buy quads but there were two shades in Flowing Haze that I really wanted. I guess I'll know if I agree with you when they're here.
I agree one million percent about the multichrome liners - they're better on theory than in practice (at least in that form). The quads are cute but the packaging is the standout for me, and it's not quite enough to make me pull the trigger. But I loved all of your looks and that ponytail is stunning on you! 💖
I am tempted by these liners but you’re right…for hooded eyes it just ends up being something under utilized, or underwhelming when it is used. So I think I’m gonna pass. Quads never intrigue me-I need more options! Thanks for your thoughts on these, and helping me decide to save my $ on the liners.
I have yet to try Kaleidos, but I want the Escape Pod palette. Quads don't interest me at all because they don't hold enough variety and tend to get lost in my collection, but K does a good job with unique packaging!
I completely, 100% agree with you about the multichrome eyeliners. I have the same format in Danessa Myricks and Sugar Drizzle and they are a pain to use and often break. I’m definitely passing on those. I’m also not sure I need another bright purple quad. The neutral one appeals to me the most, but I agree that it won’t be a stand alone palette as I will need a lighter shimmer. Hmm. This may be the first Kaleidos release I skip.
I would've preferred the purple to be a 6 pan color story. I wished there was a lighter shimmer too. Imho, neither quad is a got to have it. In the future, I might throw one in my cart if something else of interest launches.
I agree with metallic in the waterline. I don't know why, but it always looks a little off. Loved the look you did in the video, but didn't like the liner in the waterline. You're right, it does reflect light a bit strange.
This review was so honest and helpful! Thank you so much! 🙌 I love Kaleidos as a brand, their space age highlighters are my favorite ever. But I am so glad to know that I can get the same look with colourpop liners than needing to break the bank for these. 💜 Btw I love your ponytail, it’s so cute! 😍
I'm the tool who, despite being poor rn, went out and immediately got the whole set, sight-unseen. Still hasn't arrived yet, so we'll see how it all turns out. Worse case, I'll sell off the untouched liners on Poshmark, or if they're really, surpremely disappointing, send them back and try to get some of my dosh back from Kalaidos. As for the shadows? I know they're going to be good, and I'll get a lot of use out of them, as I love Kalleidos's formula. They're beautiful, but also basic enough for everyday use. I'm a sucker for cool-toned neutrals, and any kind of blue/indigo/violet/magenta colour story. I love how they incorporate bright colours with gorgeous neutrals. I have two of the futurism pallettes (AstroPink and the lilac/pinky-purple one) and even though there's 3 almost-identical shades between the two of them, I'm not complaining! That light-to-light-mid-tone, cool, pinkish taupe is my JAM!! I've got small eyes and hooded lids, and while I've got a decent amount of real estate in the crease/brow area, I also wear glasses (as I can't really fucks with contacts). It's the trifecta of "making your eyes look way smaller than they are". That, plus super-pale skin, makes the taupe that Kalaidos always includes the most perfect eye colour for me, and the one I typically hit pan on first. I can see people with deeper skin, who like brighter colours being disappointed about their last few eyeshadow releases. However, FlowerPunk and Escape Pod both rock on deep skin, and I bet the multichrome liners will shift and shine like diamonds against a deeper backdrop. The highlighters, of course, are solid gold on all skin tones. I'd say Kaleidos is pretty damn rad, all-together. Next month- Danessa Myricks' newest Lightwork pallette!!! I'm sooooooo stoked!! Spending all my free moneys on makeup seems stupid, especially when you never leave the house, but it brings me soooo many hours of joy. Even when I'm too mental to apply it, just looking at it makes me happy. When I die, my nieces and nephews are gonna inherit the most badass makeup collection ever! My 10-year-old nephew wants my ColourPop Star Wars 9pans. He was over when they arrived, and he just about lost his shit! "OMG AUNTIE PITHY!!! CAN I HAVE THESE!?!" "Um, no? At least not now... I'll put them in my Will for you, how 'bout? You'll get them if/when I declutter them, before that, kay?" I've considered getting them for him and his brother as part of their Christmas presents. They both love to play with my makeup at Halloween, or whenever I come over. I'll just lay out the stuff I don't care about so much, and let them go to town painting their faces. I made the one nephew up like a zombie last time he came over. Omg I'm blathering so much now. Okay, later!
I still love their Futurism palettes and the Black-Gray-Silver Quad is one of my favorite quads in my collection. I don’t think I’ll be picking either of these new pallets up, like you I prefer lighter shimmers. And as far as those liners, they swatch beautifully but just don’t have enough impact on the eye. The collection is absolutely stunning, but it’s just not something I would use enough to justify buying it. Hopefully their next collection is more to my taste.
Thank you. I've watched a few videos now and they all really enjoyed the eyeliners a lot. Check out Makeup Just for Fun. She's the Colourpop Queen & she was really into the liners over the Colourpop liners. They also showed the awesome switch in swatches.
Have they stopped doing discount/affiliate codes? I thought they had given you one? Unless my memory is failing me. Which is entirely possible! 😂 Love the looks! Beautiful as always! Really lovin'the ponytails! So fun! ☺️
I think the quads are beautiful, but I just never reach for quads. Similar with the liners, I just mix my multichrome shadows with duraline. Nonetheless, it's still a pretty collection I can admire from afar.
I have the same feeling about the liners. I do like the purple quad with this launch though. Also I don't know if this is too personal to ask but did you ever disclose what shelves those are? I believe you said they were from Ikea? They look so great.
Hi, I wanted to ask you if there is a secret way to do halo looks? I am having the hardest time doing one. I actually, again, today trying to do one and I also put like sticky paper, like sticky notes on the outer side of both eyes so it would come out straighter & better. Well, I don’t know what happened whether it was the shadows or what, but it came out terrible. Any suggestions? I,m also having a hard time with putting shadow in that inner corner.
i think the quads look reallllly pretty, but i think the liners aren’t going to be worth purchasing all at once. i just want the silver/blue one because it’s stunning. 💜💜💜
I’d buy the quad you played with here, but at $22.00 I’d either get suck with high shipping or products I am not dying to have. But I hope someone dupes that purple metallic.
Where has the exciting Kaleidos gone? The colour combos used to be so interesting. I have a cool toned purple palette. I was hoping for so much more. The packaging is so amazing, I almost want it just for that. It's a shame the insides don't live up to the outside. Same with the last quad collection. Just meh inside.
Maybe they were trying to reach a wider audience who aren't always wanting crazy looks but want to experiment with color. It seems like a beginner or neutral friendly collection which I'm good for.
not all the liners are supposed to be multichromes! it's actually 4 different types, according to the brand. sea snake definitely is just a metallic, I wish you would have checked the information the brand provided on social media by now (you can add text onto the video if you didn't see it early enough)! because it's misleading
I am definitely not purchasing from Kaleidos anymore since their shipping to Mx hasn’t been fixed yet and I absolutely refuse to buy from resellers anymore since they’re a bunch of prats with their prices (like a Natasha Denona $69 palette being sold for $120 with the resellers here). I love Kaleidos and I understand that being an indie brand is difficult so this is a really sad decision for me to have made, hopefully one day it’ll be fixed because I truly love their lip clays (though I wouldn’t touch these quads I soooo want to get my hands on some of those liners).
i don't really understand what kaleidos is doing tbh. they haven't come out with a larger (more than four shades) palette in well over a year now, even though flower punk and the angelica collab palettes were a massive success. and the quads that they've come out with in the past year are just not unique or interesting the way that all their previous palettes have been. the multichrome liners are an encouraging sign in terms of their creativity coming back, but i just don't understand why a brand like this isn't pumping out as many amazing palette color stories as fast as they can, you know?
I’m up to 200 eyeshadow palettes so this will be a pass. I really don’t grab for quads. I recently bought the scape pod palette after eying for a year. I really like this kind of palette as well as the flower punk palette.
I passed on the last release because with all my 6-pans, I have the neutrals I want. I'm skipping _this_ release because I have the lavender 6-pan and the cyber punk palette. It's just not necessary. Also, this is such a nitpick but I really find the giant uterus on the front of the palette off-putting. It's just... Nah fam, I'll pass. It's too cringy.
They'd be smart to do a re release of club nebula
Agreed. I’m so mad I didn’t get it and a lot of people have panned theirs
I hope they do a quad with bright green, bright blue, and bright purple, and then a high foil multichrome. I like the liners. I would have to do long liner looks like your second look.

I don't normally buy quads but there were two shades in Flowing Haze that I really wanted. I guess I'll know if I agree with you when they're here.
I would like a tour of your shelves behind you.I am nosey ,sorry! I just keep wondering which palettes are back there.💜 Thank you for the review.💜💜💜💜
Hey beauty, my hair , is almost the same color, darker mauve , as yours , love the look on you ... 💖💜 your eyes tho gu😍rl💗✴💗
I have yet to try Kaleidos, but I want the Escape Pod palette. Quads don't interest me at all because they don't hold enough variety and tend to get lost in my collection, but K does a good job with unique packaging!
I love these quads. You are just a very colorful person. I like color but not as much as you do.
Btw I love your ponytail, it’s so cute! 😍
Colourpop got some of the best liners (the ones that work) lol
I think the hairpieces are the perfect way to spare your hair the bleaching, while still giving you the vibrant color you love! Genius 😁
Yesss I don’t want to ruin my hair
Yes, hair video ❤️❤️❤️
You'll get them if/when I declutter them, before that, kay?"
I've considered getting them for him and his brother as part of their Christmas presents. They both love to play with my makeup at Halloween, or whenever I come over. I'll just lay out the stuff I don't care about so much, and let them go to town painting their faces. I made the one nephew up like a zombie last time he came over.
Omg I'm blathering so much now. Okay, later!
I totally get it, makeup makes me so happy too, and I'd still be buying a ton of makeup even if I wasnt on youtube!
I would love to see ur hair extensions in a video :)
So are both palettes cool toned? I love how they put out so much cool tones!
Love the looks! Beautiful as always! Really lovin'the ponytails! So fun! ☺️
Pretty sure no one has ever had a code with kaleidos except for angelica before she did her collab with them 🤔
I think the quads are beautiful, but I just never reach for quads.
This is the one i bought! www.ikea.com/us/en/p/vihals-shelving-combination-white-s69440600/
Just so you know the blue liner you used in this look is just supposed to be metallic, it's the only one that isn't multichrome.
How do the indigo/purple shades in the primal palette compare to those in the glowing iris quad?
Pretty similar but def not dupes
@@chaoswitch1974 agreed, they are now trying to reach that audience but are not reaching their original one, hence my comment 🙂
not all the liners are supposed to be multichromes! it's actually 4 different types, according to the brand. sea snake definitely is just a metallic, I wish you would have checked the information the brand provided on social media by now (you can add text onto the video if you didn't see it early enough)! because it's misleading
Heather Austin has a video
Honestly, it's kinda crazy to hear you say you don't like them much and then create such gorgeous looks. Girl, what?
I passed on the last release because with all my 6-pans, I have the neutrals I want. I'm skipping _this_ release because I have the lavender 6-pan and the cyber punk palette. It's just not necessary. Also, this is such a nitpick but I really find the giant uterus on the front of the palette off-putting. It's just... Nah fam, I'll pass. It's too cringy.
