I'm truly glad that everyone is safe, and Heather you are a rockstar you bounce back up and said heck yeah I'll do it again sometime. If we often stop and think you can die by walking across the road or by some idiot who is having a bad day. My point is to live and don't be afraid to try things but you are right making sure it is safe and the right conditions. I hope you guys know you are my favorite couple from The Bachelor and TH-cam, love you guys and God bless

I know a paragliding club in my country where members spend a month and a half training, learning about the topography, wind... Etc on the ground before taking their first fight. Thank God everyone's okay but please don't just think it's something you can do without prior training and preparation.
That's why they were going in tandem. It's not like they were thrown into it on their own.

We need more Heather content! She just shrugged that off and was ready to go again like no big deal. So glad she's okay. While it looked a bit sketchy, she barely got a scrape so I don't get all the comments about not doing this now that you have kids. You still have a life to live and I'm guessing you want your kids to have some sense of adventure since Daddy is a race car driver. It was obvious that this wasn't Lauren's thing from the beginning, so why not just do it on your own or with other people who are more adventurous? It's okay to have different interests and different levels of comfort with risk. It's actually really healthy to allow yourselves to be different and separate at times. Hopefully there are better wind conditions another day so Arie and Heather can try again if they want to. And Lauren, stick to your gut if it's not for you!
This isn’t the first video where it seems Lauren’s feelings are disregarded and almost… exploited. She does seem to have a heart of gold and her boundaries and concerns do matter. I’m sure you both review, edit, and watch these videos together… but it’s hard to watch someone’s feelings be minimized. Content isn’t worth that.
To be fair...she is a strong woman and has the absolute power to say yes or no to anything. If she ever says yes to something she is not absolutely comfortable with, that is 100% on her

I’m glad they didn’t go, I just wish Arie would have listened to Lauren’s concerns and let that be enough. I know he REALLY wanted to go but sometimes it’s about finding a compromise that both feel ok with.
Lauren was clearly distraught and worried from the beginning, then watching their friend have that albeit minor accident, Lauren was very shaken up. Please just next time Arie if you see your wife having a strong reaction to something stop and let that be a lesson to check in with her and make sure she’s ok. Emotions are just as big as physical pains. I know it’s not the biggest deal but it’s about learning to be supportive in those times your partner is having a hard time.
I agree. And the fact that he was still going to do it after she crashed even though Lauren was very emotional and vocal about not wanting him to do it really bothered me

I hear and agree with what yall are saying, but give him some credit,, he does seem to be a pretty great husband most of the time. And yknow he IS a Racecar driver lol. I mean im sure Lauren knows and most likely appreciates 💞 that he likes danger. We can't expect people to magically be completely different people than they were before marriage. That's how marriages fail.

@@kennah418 yes he does seem like a great husband most of the time but I think that’s because he helps Lauren a lot with the kids but also can tell when she’s feeling down or needs more than the usual. I think this was one of these moments he was being selfish and she had a really strong reaction to it. He could have said my wife being this worried is more important to me than my desire to jump off this cliff. She lets him race his cars and do his thing. However there also needs to be some compromise. Maybe they could have road some ATVs, or jumped off a boat into the ocean. My point was I think it’s good to understand when something seems like too much for your spouse and put their feelings above their own. I’m sure Arie gets it now but Lauren had ever right to be angry in the moment.

I love how INTUNE Lauren is with her surrounding! She has an AMAZING gift of intuition! Paragliding is a science if done correctly. Glad she is ok. I'm concerned that the company had no recovery plan in place for situations like this. Research the word Impailment, she is very fortunate that did not happen. Trees can cause Impailment, and can kill you ,so he is giving you misinformation about that. Lauren, you are still postpartum c section, take it easy kids . I'm a RN, I've unfortunately witnessed this type of trauma, only calling it out bc I love you guys . Be safe ♥️

Many here are talking about "gut instinct", but there should also be situational awareness. There is no Level 1 trauma center on Maui - it's on Oahu and it's near capacity .... I'm sure they are hearing about it daily in the local news. If Heather had to have been medevacked to Oahu, she would have found herself competing for a scarce commodity.

@@DEAH-01 I am surprised that the paragliding company allowed Arie to release the video, as well as Arie. It doesnt paint either of them in the best possible light. Maybe there are other factors in play ... Or maybe its meant to be a life lesson for everyone.
Exactly my thought, she just gave birth to twins, c section then breastfeeding/infection, renovations, traveling …all within a short period of time and three babies. I felt so bad for Lauren who was clearly traumatized. Arie is a great dad but should be more responsible with higher risk activities at this point in life.

Lauren had that gut feeling it was going to be a bad idea and when things went south, she stopped at nothing to get to her friend to make sure she was OK. What a great friend to have by your side.

Oh no, I hate myself but I’m going to be a full on Judgey McJudgerson right now. Who parasails with three babies at home? And who trusts a company that would launch a four year old from a cliff? I would have backed out right then and there. And Arie, how could you decide to launch anyway, against Lauren’s wishes, after your friend narrowly escaped death? I am so glad you’re all safe and this ended up being a lesson learned and not a tragic mistake. Ok, I’m done clutching my pearls.
Bingo! A 4 year old cannot consent. No one under 18 should be allowed to go from both a legal standpoint (consent) and from a rationale standpoint. Can't drink, smoke, vote, etc but can jump off a cliff?? That's crazy. This company did not handle any of this well and it's becoming more apparent why. Thank God no one lost their lives.
When you are young and no babies… go for it.
Once you have babies… not a great time to take chances. So many ways to lose your life in every day living. Why take a chance? I have 2 Gkids without both parents. Just basic life accident. Babies should always be first… they need both parents. So glad you changed your mind!!! That is good parenting!!! I feel such relief you are safe!!! 💗😊
Also, I thought of Rachel on Matt season of the Bachelor. She went parachuting and slammed her head on the ground at landing. It looked like a 17 year old boy that she was with. It was a terrible landing. She was hurt pretty bad. No one ever has talked about that. I had a bad feeling when I saw a kid was her parachute partner. But she had no babies, her choice!

I know a girl who has done paragliding hundreds of times, and the last time was brutal... she ended up in the er in critical condition. Thank God she's okay now, but this is definitely an unpredictable sport - it's just not worth it. Be safe u guys❤️

The editing was Terrible with with the blank spaces and loud drums, you guys have three babies depending on you and these hang gliders don't seem to know what they're doing, have fun, but use a little common sense.
Then turn your volume down. Worst things going on in the world, like what’s happening in Afghanistan. We don’t stop living life after having children. You can die driving a car, walk down the road, flying, literally doing anything, so live til it’s over.

Well I feel when one has just given birth to twins that they shouldn't be forced to do something like this. Let Arie go with a friend and keep the dangerous stuff for when the children are old enough to remember their parents.

My mind would be racing with worse scenarios that could have happened, and no way would I want my husband doing that afterward- or even to begin with. Arie is a racer and obviously loves the adrenaline, Lauren seems very supportive of that; but I don’t blame her for not wanting him to do this with three babies at home. I’m with you on this one, Lauren! Take Arie diving with the sharks instead- that would make me less nervous than paragliding too.🦈 Love to all of you! ❤️

Arie…God’s message to remind you that your Daredevil days need to be put on HOLD until you get your children grown! My ex-husband and I stopped flying together after we became parents! If you just feel like you have to, at least leave Lauren with the BABIES!!!!!

I think they're really good people and they're obviously loving parents, but I think doing things like this when you're a parent is immature.
This extreme risk taking behavior may have dire consequences, if you are willing to risk life or limb go ahead but be prepared that it could be life changing and not in a good way. Lauren follow your instincts you were right on.

Lauren is such a compassionate and just all around great person. Watching her race down all concerned for her friend. She raced down there and even left Arie behind just to get to her friend. And watching her cry because Arie still wanted to go, made me sad lol

I'm glad everyone is ok. My sister had a really terrible paragliding accident 10 years ago in San Diego. She's lucky to be alive, but she still has lasting issues from it.
Wow really? My daughter was supposed to go paragliding last month in San Diego and last minute we changed our mind. Didn’t sit well with us.
@@KJ-yo9ut yeah, it was kind of a freak accident. She had done it many times before, but this time, as she was coming in to land, someone got in her air space, ran into her, and caused part of her equipment to fail. She crashed onto the rocks below.

Paragliding company is responsible for the accident. I wouldn't even think of doing that if I had 3 super young children. This was a perfect example why.

I've been paragliding and know so many people who've been and nothing happened to them. Where we go the ground slopes off a mountain. No trees. Not to say anything bad can't happen bc we saw it happen here but when all goes well as it does most of the time it's an awesome experience. Glad everyone is alright though.
I know of someone who died doing it.
I have heard of one person dying bungee jumping as well but when you consider how many millions of people bungee jump every year then it's considered a safe sport. People cross the street and get run over. Accidents happen. Just glad everything turned out okay here in the end.
