This video is old but I must say it’s a good video and the simplistic of it as well I’ve seen a few videos where people are takin apart the whole damn car to take that out sheesh
Well done, good explanation of things. 👍🏽 ( would be curious to know about those other parts you mentioned though ) It still looked like a bit of a struggle to pop it back in, I guess it depends what one calls "easy" depending on their skill & patience !
By the way good video and the correct way to remove the air conditioning compressor. I seen another video a young man removed the alternator radiator and condenser. 😂
Pretty much the same process for a 2000 Cadillac DTS correct? My compressor makes a ticking sound like a spray paint can. Tried adding refrigerant and nothing. The line doesn't get cold. Nothing but hot air through the vents. I wonder if it could be the a/c clutch? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you. Great video by the way.
Will a compressor make noise even if the ac is not on ! Second question if it is could I just remove the ac clutch or compressor fuse to stop the noise
I done my 1990 Eldorado and it's about the same job. It's time I do the 1998 Deville Concours. For the Concours model it's 32 ounces R134A and 8 ounces of pag 150 for my 1998 Concours the regular Deville is different it holds a different amount.
Hi William, Great explanation however I have an issue getting the 15mm bolt off the back of the compressor where the actual a/c lines bolt up to the compressor. How did you manage that? That 15mm bolt between those lines is a bitch to access
I was by myself and where I live I would have to make a video on where to hold the camera and another on where to hold the light and before any of that a video reminding some of people down here need a refresher course on personal hygiene, a video on that drugs are bad and a video on going to jail does not make you cool. Also unless there in walking distance you have to pick them up because they don't have a car or a license.
Great video, good details, im gonna change mine next weekend on my 99 DeVille

1999 cadillac deville air conditioner replacement - Duration: 8:20. phil lemar
I can't remember for sure it was either a combination of a socket and a universal or a box end wrench or both.
Which wheel did you remove? Passenger?
Front passenger
Trust those bolts in the back are a pain
Not a devil seavill ac 1998 how to replace it
Good job. Consider adding some lighting and have someone else operate the camera if you do another video.
