Recently I picked up a MAC 1014 and had some thoughts on it.
You hear so much about Turkish Shotguns but are they any good or even worth your time?

I have been very happy with my MAC 1014. I initially bought it as a range toy but it has proven to be 100% reliable. After unboxing I gave it a good cleaning and lubrication - paying particular attention to cleaning the gas tubes and pistons. I then put about 100 rds through it. a combination of slugs, buckshot and 7.5 shot. It cycled everything without a single failure. It now basically cycles everything I load in the mag tube. I should note that I only shoot use quality brand name ammo. After shooting I tore it down completely and carefully inspected all the internal parts, especially the gas pistons and bolt face where the gas pistons make contact and everything was perfect. At this point, what would a $2000 Benelli do for me? I'm not saying Benelli isn't a good shotgun but we all know that Italian guns are extremely overpriced. Have you priced Benelli M4 replacement parts? They are priced like Ferrari parts. The only mod I've made to mine is installing a RXArms larger bolt handle. As for Benelli parts compatibility, the only part I'm not sure about is the magazine follower. I measured the 1014 follower and it is slightly smaller than an OEM benelli M4 follower. I cannot find any MAC 1014 owners who have installed a Benelli aftermarket follower. BTW, I paid $359 for my 1014.
