Hey Tricky Gym! I was JapaneseKidNeo, the player that played against you at the end of the video. Looking back, I made a lot of misplays like at 40:25 when I put down the Jirachi. In my mind, I was just going to play the Fossil Lab, but wanted to start Jirachi after active got KO'd, but after I put it down, realized that I had a full bench lol. Anyways, the game was really fun and intense, and it was very unfortunate that the Triple was the last card in deck lol.
It was a wonderful game for sure! Made me realize why I like this game so much. I had a couple of weird plays too, but it was fun to hash it out! You have a good deck!

Certainly easier to set up than the Decidueye/Obstagoon variant of the deck, but i think the damage output is still a problem (as it is with Decidueye). You don't even get to harm Lucario Melmetal decks, which are huge in the meta right now. Also bad: if you happen to face a deck with any non-GX/V pokemon in them, you are toast. Volcanion, Duralodon, Hydreigon, Hoopa, Swanna, Golisopod and even Porygon Z are all around, everywhere. The good news is that Altaria is versatile enough to allow you to include it anywhere, being its typing colorless. It has access to Powerful Colorless Energy too, which is awesome. I'm going to use it with Swanna/Bird Keeper/Powerful Energy combo. That way you can destroy any one prize Pokemon fast and easy, get an increased damage output and also block all GX and V attackers.
Sit down children..... and I will tell you about a time long long ago when there were honorable knights and fierce dragons. The endless battle that raged between the noble knight Keldeo-EX, and the fearsome dragon Garchomp.
These games were great! I love the idea of a deck that beats most of the big dumb basics but lets you have games like that last one when your opponent comes in with another single prize deck. Very fun to watch and listen to your thought process on these. Definitely gonna try to build this deck in PTCGO if I can get my hands on some Altarias.

Don’t understand why people refer to switching the opponent’s Pokémon as “gusting up”. Wouldn’t it be a whirlwind affect since whirlwind always has the effect to switch Pokémon in both VGC and TCG?

The name he is playing against is BPenno, and he is not using a different deck. Then after he says gj to his opponent, he cuts it to the next game, this time at the top left corner the opponent's name is OlaKochaEevee. So he does lose, he just doesn't want to show the losses, and he is actually undermining the efficiency of all of his decks, as we don't know which decks get more wins/ losses to see which decks are good.
I play for 5-6 hours a day on twitch. If you want to see all the games you should head over there and watch the vods or catch the streams live. I have always said that I’m showing off the hi-lights of the decks here because it’s what people find most interesting. If you click on a deck to watch a video about it, don’t you wanna see the most exciting games or the games where the strategy works?

And guarantee you a loss. Against all non-GX evolution decks. And how do you deal with someone playing V-max and a strong non-GX basic? If you put Obstagoon in the active opponent switches and it gets oneshot by the V-max. If you put Altaria in the actice he switches and it get oneshot by Volcanion/Drampa/Lugia etc. You're forced to fight his strong Basics with Altarias and hope he can't recycle with Brock or Rod. He one-shot you but you two-shot him.

That last game felt like it was from a format past where you had to use a lot of strategy to win and one prize evolution attackers were the norm.

Grind-Up-Haxorus with Welder can go from 0 to 250 damage in one turn so that's also a nice TagTeam destroyer deck to try =)

The trainer toolkit sleeves do not last very long (about the same as ultra pro mattes) and no etb sleeve since then has had the same formula
