Elysia is not evil. On the contrary. She is Honkais literal Christ figure. She sacrificed her life so that future generations would stand a chance in fighting Honkai. We call her Pink Jesus.
Yup, without her, Dr. Mei, and the other Flamechaser members then CE would basically just repeat the same tragedy as the PE (maybe slightly different event, but not much different outcome)

She is called the Herrscher of Humanity not because she manipulates humanity, but because she is the first Herrscher to stand on humanity's side and willing to sacrifice for humanity. The fight between her and Mei, it can be understand as a last dance of the party for Mei to inherit Elysia's Ego signet

You're asking the wrong question. Nobody in _Honkai Impact 3rd_ is fully evil or fully good, everyone has both good and evil in them, so equal potential. There are protagonists and arc antagonists, however most of them have at least good intentions. But some care less about the consequences of their actions. Like Otto. He didn't care how many people suffered as long as he got Kallen back somehow. As for Elysia, she only wants people to be friends. She is a walking warm hug, although you're told not to trust her.
And they didn't kill Elysia. She died in the Previous Era. She tried to pose as the Thirteenth Herrscher to unite the remaining Flame-Chasers. The version we meet in story is a simulation. Same with the other Flame-Chasers apart from Hua and Kevin.
8:35 Aponia is really sad character. Kind and compassionate, capable to see future but unable to change it. Unfortunately because of Honkai she saw only deaths
It's understandable to not know the lore of Honkai impact if you never played it before. But damn hearing them come up with what's happening hurts ma head 😂

Elysia came from the Honkai, but eventually loved humanity. It's somewhat spoiler but it's not really that big of an issue: her sacrifice enabled following Herscherrs to retain or hold on to their ego. Reason why Mei and others can still become Herscherrs that helps against the Honkai even though they should've been under it's will. She's an irregularity that shouldn't have happened.

Elysia isn't a villain. Like others explained, she's quite literally Honkai's version of Jesus Christ - sacrificing her life for the future to thrive. Explaining further would be big spoilers, but she's basically the reason that some Herrschers nowadays (Bronya, Kiana, Mei), can keep their sense of humanity and thinking rather than becoming mindless, violent Herrschers (hence the "Ego" part of her Herrscher Title). Smaller but not as important spoiler, this also made her the first Herrscher to fight for and with humanity rather than fight against it, which is why she has "Human" in her Herrscher Title). She also has another Herrscher Title but I don't remember if it's mentioned in the future trailers or not so I'll hold out on revealing it (unless it was said in one of the trailers you watched and I missed it)
Elysia and Mei's fight wasn't anything serious. They described it as a "dance" and that was pretty much it. Their dance just ended up being a mock battle between the two - no hard feelings between them. It's more of a symbolic passing of the torch. You'll find out what happens to Elysia and the rest of the Flame-Chasers once you get to the Animated Shorts, but for now, I'll just let you know that no, Mei doesn't kill Elysia.
Right now, Honkai Impact 3rd is in Chapter 2 of the Part 2 story. There's three parts to Honkai's story currently:
-Part 1 called "The Moon's Origin and Finality" and it has 35 Chapters
-Part 1.5 called "Dance of Life and Death" which is a slight continuation of Part 1.5 and has 7 Chapters total (bringing Part 1 to a total of 42 Chapters Total)
-Part 2 called "Extinguished Starlight and Rekindled Fire" and currently has 2 Chapters + a Character Story Event
There's also a bunch of open world stories and event stories too.

You can see her giant eye on the moon before Kevin unleashes his sword on her if you pause at 25:45. Her old body can also be seen on the moon here at 28:49. W video!

these guys can't get over to genshin🤣, they still haven't realize hoyoverse copying ideas like character design or etc.. from each other games thats all, if lore topic what these guys see has no related to genshin
The reason _Genshin_ doesn't, and will not, get the same things _HI3_ and _HSR_ have is because they're managed by a different team under a different producer. The producer of the Genshin Team is known to be particularly tight-fisted. Hopefully they'll eventually have someone more generous take charge down the line, however they don't have any particular reason to with how much money _Genshin_ still makes. Honestly, I'm directing all of my disposable gacha money into _HI3_ and _HSR_ right now. I don't see any reason to spend on _Genshin_ .
