I'm sorry the audio is a bit worse than normal, I didn't have the right equipment to record this effectively, so everything was done on my phone. Hope you all still enjoy the video 🙂
Yooo love that you did so well with this deck!! I still remember playing a version of this deck that you shared back in the 05 days that I tweeted and got me my first winner card! Well deserved mate and congratulations
I’m pretty sure I’ve commented on past videos my love for RP Luffy. I think deck is amazing. I’ve been toying with shanks but a lot of my local meta has moved to Law so it has felt slow. At a bigger tournament, I see it though, huge in your matchups. I’m also toying with some tech in “there’s no way you could defeat me” and the purple searcher with a couple kid and killers to play after gear 5 as well. They have felt amazing. Tempo Gear 5 play becomes even better when we get Sanji 2k and then black maria
Awesome! Thanks for this video! Some questions I have without watching the full video jic you answer them. Do you wanna go first against Law, Moria, Saka? What’s your hardest match up? Whats your best matchup? Mine seemed to be against Saka. I played 4 beat them easy. I lost 2 matches out of the ten against Law, and gecko. Why did you choose some of the cards in your deck? Is shanks hard to use since he doesn’t have a counter, costs 10? Seems like it would hurt you.
Against moria I want first Against saka and law I want second Hardest matchup is kata Best matchup probably saka Shanks is important in the enel matchup and if you play kid the turn prior, you can still leave one up for a beam by getting don back with lead after attacking with kid
congrats! what are you looking for as a starting hand? does it change what ur looking for depending on the matchup? what matchups are are best to go second?
I like to go second against b/y luffy, law, saka and kata. Maybe enel but it feels fine either way. Starting hand depends on mu and if I'm going first or second, but generally I like to open with a ramper and a newgate/kid with counter.
It's tough if they trigger a couple of dudes, probably the decks worsy matchup, but Kata has taken a back seat in the current format. Newgate and queen are important
Enel honestly feels pretty easy, especially with shanks. I try to leave them at 2 life and build a board so they can't get value out of their yamatos. Leaving them at 2 also makes their raigo trash a live which isninportant. A good enel player will typically leave their big bodies active so we can't attack into them, but if they do try and clear bodies/get cards out of hand. Once you have a board developed, try and get them to 0 and play G5 to lock up the game. You typically have a pretty easy time if they don't trigger an okiku early because they usually can't start developing a board until 7 don±. We have the ability to ramp so we get to start playing developing our bug bodies before they do which gives us the advantage. If they do play an okiku, don't be afraid to remove it from play. It's okay for them to heal if it means they aren't getting a free attack into us every turn.

Great in depth video sir!
Been rocking this deck for the past month or so and been playing it into the 07 set and having fun
It's just a fun deck!
I loved that play too! My opponent was shocked I was already at 9 Don in two turns

Yessir, unfortunately, I think law is just too good in 08, but I'll still try!
Said it in discord but congrats again on getting your nats invite.
Thanks man! Super excited I was able to ge there with a more unique deck!
@StrawHatsAreCool Always happy to see one of the boys win
Congratulations on the placement!
Thanks man!
Yoooo congrats bro!!!

What’s your advice going into Enel?
Try to keep big bodies on field and go aggro (It works for me)
Might cop this list for a bit.. how do you think this list/leader is doing into op07?
and big congrats on gettin the top 32 and the invite, huge
I think the deck still has a lot of potential in 07. Sanji 2k will replace the jinbe and usopp and I think dragon is strong too
What’s your advice against yellow decks like Kata? Match up feels unplayable.
It's tough if they trigger a couple of dudes, probably the decks worsy matchup, but Kata has taken a back seat in the current format. Newgate and queen are important

I run Uta and Dragon instead of shanks & WB
Are you gonna do a list for op07 ?
Yep! I want to do some content with the new leaders first but absolutely will be revisiting rp luffy
I went 3-0 and 3-1 with rp luffy in my past 2 locals
Right on! Good stuff!
Don’t top 16 get invites and not top 32 ?
Top 32 for events with 800+ players
No lead performer disaster?
No, bon clay is just a better alternative
